Funded Aug 5, 2017Thank you so much for your support and donations! We are very lucky to have people like you! When we opened the box of new materials, the children were so excited and eager to use them. My students have loved our new resources. We just recently started using the sight word steps and my students can't get enough of them. Their sight word knowledge is improving greatly and they have so much fun learning new words. I see them helping each other practice the words which helps oral language and community building. We also started using the engineering kits this past month to support our engineering and design unit. This resource was so useful and provided a fun and interesting addition to our unit. I saw my students working together, talking to each other about the project, and showing a real interest in building and designing. As we move into reading and using our sight words, I am excited to use our new sentence builders and so are my students. Thank you so much for instilling a love of learning in my students and an understanding that their education is important. We are so grateful and hope you know how much this means to us!”

Funded Oct 1, 2016Thank you so much for supporting my classroom! My students absolutely love everything we received! When they saw the big box in the classroom, they got so excited. They went right over to the box and started looking at all of our new classroom materials. With the excitement and joy on their faces, it looked like Christmas morning. They were planning out what they were going to do with the games and trying to figure out what we were going to use everything for. The magnetic letters are used every single day. My students keep them organized and use them in a variety of different ways. They use them to practice sight words, work on letter formation, and make new words. They show such care in using them and understand that they were a gift to us so we need to keep them in the best condition possible. The letters have become an integral part of instruction as well as activities for practice. The games have become a big hit in our classroom as well. My students can't wait to play them during indoor recess and fun Friday. The games help promote fine motor skills as well as cooperation and getting along. The math counting activity mats and the phonics activities have also been extremely useful in instructing my students. We use them regularly in small groups or during independent practice. These activities make learning fun and provide the practice necessary to master these skills. My students and I appreciate your generosity so very much. Learning is fun and engaging this school year because of you and your support. Thank you so much!!”

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Please Help out our Classroom
Funded Aug 25, 2015Thank you so much for your support and we are extremely grateful for your generosity. My students were so excited to receive our new classroom materials! We use the book bins, the large bins for group work, the buddy bags, and the books every single day. Each student is put into a colored group. Since each group of students has their own color, our transitions have been going much smoother than they did without these materials. The students know where their group is going to be and what activity they will be participating in. They take very good care of these materials since they know they were a gift to our classroom. Each student is so proud of the buddy bags that were given to us as well. They are happy to show off their buddy bag that is stuffed with great books to their second grade reading buddy. These materials have helped my students take pride in their classroom and form a love of learning. We have used these materials since the day we received them and our classroom would not be the same without them. From all of us here in Kindergarten, we thank you.”
