Learning My Way: Listening to Learn
Funded May 23, 2024Thank you so much for your donations. My students now have the opportunity to utilize their computers to their fullest potential working on their individualized programs. Many of my students struggle due to their low achievement and or limited English and the headphones are going to help give them the individual learning they are not able to get during the instructional day. They will be able to make their goals and reach higher levels of achievement. We really appreciate it & thank you for supporting us.”

Carpet Time
Funded Oct 22, 2017I want to thank you again for donating and helping my classroom get a rug. The students have been able to enjoy many different read aloud's and lessons on the carpet. They are constantly asking me if they can come and sit on the carpet to do their work and read with classmates. When we first received the carpet they were so excited. One student said, "Now we don't have to sit on the cold floor for read aloud time. Before we received the carpet they complained that the floor was cold and uncomfortable for them to sit on. Now they are excited when its time for us to come up to the carpet. They are very much more engaged in the lesson and ready to revive whatever information I am ready to give them. We are very grateful for your donations and will continue using the carpet to help us grow as learners.”

Funded Dec 16, 2015First, I want to say thank you for your support. Our class has fully been enjoying the items that you helped get us. The book boxes that were purchased help my students become more organized. They switch between me and another teacher and often items were lost and missing. We are now able to move quicker and not search for missing items.
Also the binder are great for the students to quickly find their data and share with anyone who might visit.
When the students first say the items they were so excited. Everyone wanted to get their book box so that they could color and place all their items in them. When I pulled out the chart paper to create am anchor chart the students were so amazed at seeing an anchor chart being created. They were able to easily refer to the anchor chart as I was teaching.
We are still working on staying organized and keeping materials together, but with your help this has been a little bit easier. Students have been working hard to get ready for the EOGs and the end of the year. Thank you again for your support.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Lowry
