WE Need Magna Tiles for STREAM Learning!
Funded Mar 1, 2017Thank you so much for supporting my classes Magna Tiles project.
They were so excited to start playing with them! I can't explain the looks on all their faces when I showed them. Magna tiles have given my students hands on experiences with 3 D shapes. It is such a treat to sit and play and make things with them, and have them tell me everything that they made. As you can see in some of the pictures, they love building skyscrapers and mansions, among other structures.
Having the magna tiles in our class, where students could build, manipulate has deepened their knowledge of shapes, and broadened there imagination .
Pictures definitely do not do Magna-tiles justice. And the effect that they have had on our classroom is priceless. Thank you so much!!”

We Need Chromebooks to Increase our Knowledge!
Funded Feb 7, 2017Thank you so much for your generous donation. The laptops that you helped to donate have been used almost every single day. Because of you, there are 19 first graders who are learning things that they will need to know for the rest of their lives, like just what the space bar does. Students have listened to stories, practiced keyboard and mouse skills, worked on letter and sound practice and some have even typed up and printed their own stories!
Technology will be a factor in their lives, and it is important to begin building their skills at a young age.
Without donors like you, thousands of classrooms and millions of students in the United States would go without. Thank you again for your support."”

First Graders Want to Move!
Funded Oct 6, 2016Thank you for helping to keep my students healthy, active, moving, and focused! Your support will really help their focus in the classroom and will do wonders for our success within the classroom. I really appreciate all that you do for schools and this wonderful gift you have given our classroom!
Keeping kids active is so important and it's great to know you are committed to keeping kids active. Thank you TARGET for being so active in schools and communities! After watching my students trying to sit in their traditional chairs while taking an assessment, I noticed that almost all my students were fidgeting, standing up, kneeling, or needing to move to the floor in order to better focus on their work. Because of this reason I submitted my project and I am extremely thankful to now have a full class set of wobble stools. My students will be able to wobble on them without disrupting their peers would help them focus on their work rather than their need to wiggle. My students will be able to embrace the wiggle, instead of fighting it, they will be able to put more concentration and effort into their work and growing their minds. Thank you for supporting my classroom!”

Funded Aug 15, 2016Thank you so much for helping my classroom by donating to our project. Your donation has impacted my classroom tremendously allowing my students to use technology more and track how much they move throughout the day.
The materials that you funded though this project have helped to keep our classroom aware of how much they move and how important it is to be healthy.
The footpad devices are so awesome and students can wear them all day while they are learning. The Fitbit fitness trackers has been a huge blessing to my students because it was their idea to keep up and track movement throughout the day.
This project has made a huge impact in my classroom by helping Us be health and fitness conscious. The valuable and expensive resources we now have in our classroom and we can use them for many years to come without the risk of them breaking. Thank you for your support!”

This classroom project was brought to life by Target and one other donor.Flexible Seating for Student Success
Funded Jul 29, 2016The beginning of the year was a chaotic, yet exciting time. When my students walked into the room they were excited to see how the classroom has changed. They didn't walk in to desks in groups or rows or name tags telling them were they need to sit. They were able to make the choice of "Where do I learn the best?"
Each morning the students come in and find the best learning environment for them. It may be on the exercise ball, in a bean bag, on the floor, or one of the wobble chairs. Those students who need to be moving while they work choose the exercise ball or wobble chair. They are able to get their wiggles out as they work. They are more productive then sitting in a regular chair.
My students are always wanting to sit in one of these new seats. They are more comfortable and I truly believe that many of them can now focus on their work. Thank you again for your support with my students!”

Listen and Learn
Funded Jul 11, 2016Thank you so very much for these wonderful new classroom resources! They are simply put amazing new resources for my classroom! My students really enjoy this center and our classes data has shown a huge improvement in the areas that are covered in this center.
These resources have also been used for tutoring sessions for all of the first grade classes at our school. The different leveled folders are great for differentiating instruction and all of the first grade teachers who use them also appreciate the self correcting and explanation on why the students got the answers correct or incorrect that the activities give to the students after the activities.
We really appreciate your donation and assistance in giving my students the resources they need to not only succeed but to have so much fun doing it. The smiles on their faces and the results from their assessments prove to me how wonderful these resources have helped our classroom.”
