My fabulous 4th Grade students are eager to learn and succeed. Our school population is more than 90% Hispanic with most of the students economically disadvantaged. Students are not exposed to cultural and diverse experiences nor do they have a global awareness. Therefore, students can not relate to many of the things we read about and learn about. This lack of knowledge and understanding creates in my students a drive to want to learn and connect with the world. Students are filled with enthusiasm as they experience success through their hard efforts.
