My Students are awesome, last year 4 of my students were A Honor Roll, 5 were A/B Honor Roll and 1 was the Valedictorian of the school. We have a great group of kids and they are very excited about our program. Last year was the first time in three years that we actually had a Softball program, and we were without a lot of things that we needed. We managed to purchase some Bats and Softballs, and because we are in a low income area, we actually had to purchase enough gloves for our kids to even play. We only had two students who had actually ever played softball, but we won 50% of our games. Our students worked hard with the Manual Softball pitching machine that we had, but it could not stand up to the rugged use by the team. Our pitchers are just learning and are not capable of giving the team the batting practice that is needed. The majority of the games we lost were due to poor batting against fast pitchers, but we did our best.
