Having calculators and headphones would be amazing for my students. In light of Covid the students that I work with have been impacted in their learning. I work in Special Education with amazing students who have been impacted by Covid and school closures. Working closely with general education teachers we have found some gaps in our students learning. The headphones would help when students are having at home learning to block out the noise and allow them the opportunity to focus on their online learning. I have students that struggle with learning their multiplication facts and und understanding place value. We need the place value charts to help them get a better understanding of that and the calculators are for multidigit multiplication. Once they have learned the process of multiply more than one digit the calculators allow them to show what they know. Headphones help my students that struggle getting their thoughts on paper, headphones allows them to use speech to text in their writing. They have incredible ideas in their heads, it is difficult for them to put those thoughts into words. With today's amazing technology they are able to put those thoughts on paper without the worry of spelling everything correctly.
