These materials will allow students in our school to have a place to go explore learn and create projects that align with the curriculum and generate higher level thinking. This area will be a designated makerspace with supplies students need to complete assignments and technology to record and report what they have learn. This type of learning environment is needed in our school for all students at all learning levels. With project based learning as our future goal these supplies will help students eventually work toward solutions in their community using skills they have acquired working with materials in this space. The Osmo will let students integrate hands on practice with technology. The game system will incorporate art, coding and math. The domino sets allow the students to plan and practice engineering strategies with think and rethink. They know the what of the project and they test and retest the why. The green screen is an awesome tool for presenting knowledge in a variety of ways. The majority of our students need to be career ready. Having a positive outlook on learning a trade skill to make them viable in the future.
