Bird Wild
Funded May 9, 2022Wow- this was posted only a week ago. Thank you so much for your overflowing generosity. I can't wait to get outside and go birding with my students. We will make unforgettable memories as we categorize and record the different bird species on our campus this year and many years to come. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

Funded Jun 21, 2021Wow! Thank you so much for supporting my project for grow lights and advanced bird biological resources.
I am so grateful to have these program materials fully funded and can’t wait to share them with my students. These materials will greatly enrich my classes and the lives of my students. Thank you so much!!!”

How Is It Alive Without Outside Air?
Funded Dec 21, 2020My students were greatly intrigued by the ecosphere and expressed so much curiosity in the chat as they watched the shrimp swim around. It was so much fun to see their natural inquisitiveness come alive while viewing this beautiful self-sustaining habitat.
As you can imagine, it's been a very challenging year teaching biology and environmental science classes almost entirely online and this live model brought a lot of excitement into our online classes. Now that some students are back on campus, they are greatly enjoying seeing our ecosphere in person for the first time.
I'm so grateful to you for your amazing support of my students and their learning. Your generosity has made this year brighter for me and my students. Thank you so much!”

Funded Nov 2, 2019Thank you so much for providing supplies and equipment to inspire my students in the outdoors. The bird feeders have enriched our campus and gardens and will continue to do so for decades to come.
In biology, my students learned about the importance of birds in an ecosystem and what they, as responsible citizens, can do to support our local birds. It was within this context that the bird feeders were set up on our campus. This had quite an impact for my students because they not only learned about challenges and human impact, they also provided solutions for the betterment of our local ecosystem. Additionally, informal observations were made on the bird species visiting our feeders.
Unfortunately, just as the feeders started to get used and students began identifying the visiting birds, our campus was closed due to COVID-19. However, I am so grateful that we have these feeders and they will be used to make observations and discover our local bird species in the future. Thanks to your generosity, we'll be ready to do that as soon as we are back in school.”

Funded Jan 10, 2019Thank you so much for providing these voice amplifiers for my classroom. We used them immediately for student presentations and it made a world of difference! Some students could not wait to use them, others were a bit unsure- but all had fun experimenting with them and having their voices projecting out to their peers. It was great for me too, as I have trouble hearing certain students present but now it is a non issue.
We continue to use them for mini presentations when students are scattered about the classroom. In addition, I use an amplifier during lab days when students are further away from each other and from me at their lab station. It helps all to hear and is a quick way to get their attention for instruction.
So, once again, thank you so much for so donating so quickly. Your support means so much to me and greatly benefits my students and helps them in their learning.”

Ms. Hambrick
Exploring Genetically Diverse Plants in Biology
Funded Oct 28, 2018Thank you so much for donating such a variety of plants to my classroom. I showed students the daffodil bulbs and asked them to guess what it was... they were amazed to discover that it would develop into a flower. We've been growing bulbs for weeks now and they regularly monitor the progress and ask questions about them.
In addition, the much needed supplies for our classroom animals have helped keep all of our tanks of turtles and fish running cleanly. My student aids are now experts at changing filters and keeping everything healthy.
The worm castings were used by my conservation club to make compost tea and use it in the garden. We had a great conversation about microorganisms and the benefits that microorganisms provide for the soil.
Thanks so much for supporting my inquisitive students with these supplies. I really appreciate all that you do.”

Critter and Garden Care
Funded Oct 11, 2018My students are continually amazed at your continuous generosity. This project has strongly resonated with my students as the supplies have helped our beloved turtles swim in a cleaner tank thanks to the water filter, be healthier thanks to the calcium blocks, and get much needed heat thanks to the infrared lamps. In addition, students have been active in our gardens, using the donated pruners to keep the area looking good.
I can not thank you enough for your financial gifts to my classroom. The students have been greatly enriched and, frankly, I simply could not do what I do without you. Thank you, thank you!”

Chromebooks for All
Funded Aug 22, 2018Thank you so much for the Chromebooks and LED lights for mini greenhouse experiments. The two Chromebooks are invaluable as I often have students in my classroom doing work after school and they are a reliable resource to be able to provide for them in their learning.
The LED lights are an exciting scientific addition for our labs on photosynthesis. The lights came with a remote control to change the color of light to red, green, or blue. Students have experimented with the different colors to determine if the color of light makes a difference on the rate of photosynthesis in plants. Needless to say, it was an amazing lab and a lot of aha moments occurred.
Your generous donation is what made all of this possible and I can not thank you enough. My classroom has been greatly enriched and, literally, enlightened from your selfless giving.”

Funded Mar 30, 2018Thank you so much for these essential technology tools needed for my classroom. It's hard to believe that in 2018 there are still too many schools that do not provide regular access to technology. But thanks to you, that is changing at my school one by one.
My students have been benefiting from your Chromebooks for months. I use them regularly in the class at learning stations, advanced work for certain students, and catch up work for students who have been absent. My students are so grateful to be able to come to my classroom at any time and borrow a Chromebook for use.
The document camera has greatly benefited my classroom instruction as well. I use it daily to guide students with instructions, explanations, and diagrams. In addition, the document camera makes it easy for students to share examples of their work with the class.
Thanks again and please remember that, together, we are improving the lives of students with hearts of gold.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Hambrick
Hands-on Means Minds On
Funded Mar 26, 2018Thank you so much for helping me finish the previous school year successfully. The supplies of notebooks, pencils and paper were put to immediate use and provided to students who were in need.
The equipment and general supplies for our classroom animals came in perfect timing so that all of our turtles, geckos, and plants can be taken care of properly with the right amount of light and food. In fact, these materials are in continued use this year and really helped me get off to the right start.
The science supplies, equipment, and specimen samples have been used with all 400 of our students in labs and will continue to be used for many years to come.
In short, these bountiful supplies enriched the learning and support of my classroom and I will always be grateful. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

Ms. Hambrick
