Engaging Materials for my Kindergarten Class
Funded Nov 26, 2024Thank you for your generous donation to my classroom. Your kindness has allowed me to provide new STEM materials for our Kindergarten classroom.
The students were so excited when the new materials arrived in our classroom. They have been using them each day to explore concepts in Math and Science. They often work in groups or partners to create structures. Some students enjoy following the included books to create specific projects, and others love to build their own ideas. They are working on problem solving, collaboration skills, and also having lots of fun while they work!
Thank you again for your generosity!”

Snacks to Support My Busy Kindergarteners!
Funded Aug 25, 2024My students were so excited when they saw the huge supply of snacks that were delivered to our classroom! Our school day runs from 9:00 until 4:00, which is a long day of learning for Kindergarteners. We love taking a break in the afternoon to have a yummy snack and socialize with each other. Some of my students bring snacks from home, but many of them come with nothing each day. Your generous donation allows me to provide each student with a snack everyday. Being a teacher also means making sure my students feel happy and comfortable at school. Having a snack might seem like a little thing to others, but to a young child it means a great deal. It also improves their ability to focus and learn!”

Reading Center Materials for My Kindergarteners
Funded Apr 11, 2024My students were so excited to receive the new materials, and they couldn't wait to have a chance to use them during reading groups.
The reading center materials correlated perfectly with what we were working on during the last part of the school year. These centers are perfect for differentiating my reading lessons, and they included materials in a wide range of skills so all my students could enjoy them. I was able to use the new center materials to teach early reading skills to my struggling students, and I also had materials to challenge my students who are more advanced. My students also enjoyed using the materials during independent practice with a partner!”

Kindergarten Is All About Hands-On Learning!
Funded Nov 7, 2023My students were so excited to receive the new materials for our Math learning centers. Kindergartners love hands on experiences, and they have been using the new activities to practice grade level Math objectives. They have been using the centers to practice counting and making patterns. We have just started our unit on addition and will be using the new centers to practice this skill.
I usually rotate my centers every week, but students have been asking for the new ones each day! They work independently or with a partner to practice grade level Math skills. Thank so much for your generous contribution!”

Snacks for My Kindergarten Class
Funded Jun 8, 2023My students have been enjoying the snacks purchased with your donation everyday! My school is located in an area with a high level of poverty, and I am glad that we can offer support with nutrition. Students are in school from 9:00 until 4:00, which is a long day for a Kindergartner! We have breakfast and lunch earlier in the day, and students are often hungry and tired in the afternoon. Having a snack for my students is important and helps gives them the energy to get through the end of the day. It also gives them a break and some time to socialize while they eat snack. I believe that students do their best learning when all of their basic needs are met. Thank you again for your support and generosity!”

Engaging Centers For My Kindergarteners!
Funded Jan 28, 2023My students are enjoying the benefits of your generous donation everyday in my classroom! I was able to purchase a gift card for a website called Teachers Pay Teachers. This website sells teacher created materials for other teachers to purchase and use in their classrooms.
My students work independently in learning centers in my classroom. These centers include hands on activities to support my students in Math and Reading. These independent activities help my students practice skills learned during lessons. I was able to purchase activities to support the creation of these centers.”

Flexible Seating to Help My Kindergarteners Stay Focused
Funded Dec 17, 2022My students are enjoying the resources ordered with your donations everyday in our classroom! I was able to purchase cushions for flexible seating on our classroom carpet.
Kindergartners spend a lot of time sitting on our classroom rug, so they were so excited to see these new cushions arrive in our classroom. We use them for circle time, mindfulness activities, small group instruction, and during whole class instruction.
My students enjoy using the cushions, and they are comfortable while learning and sitting together on the rug. The cushions are durable and easy to clean, so we look forward to using them this year and for years to come!”

Funded Apr 21, 2016Thank you so much for your generous donation. The technology I was able to purchase because of your kindness is greatly impacting my students learning. I now have a set of five tablets and headphones that my students can use to play learning games during small group instruction. Some of the games include listening to stories, learning letters, reading words, practicing counting skills, and practicing addition and subtraction strategies.
These tablets are an exciting and engaging way for my students to practice Kindergarten skills independently. While they are working on the tablets, my teaching assistant and I can work with small groups of students on Reading and Math skills. I have 26 students in my classroom, and for many of them, English is their second language. The tablets are an engaging and easy way for them to access technology and practice grade level skills. My students enjoy using these tablets, and they have become an important part of our daily schedule. Thank you again for your generosity!”

New Alphabet Rug For My Kindergarteners
Funded Mar 9, 2016My Kindergarteners are definitely enjoying our new rug. When the rug arrived, they were very excited! The new rug brightens up the room, and it helps make the classroom inviting to young learners.
We have been enjoying our new rug, and using it everyday for learning activities. It is a very large rug, and there are enough spaces for all of the students to sit comfortably. The students enjoy finding the letters in their name to choose a place to sit, or sometimes I give them an assigned letter and they can easily find their spot. We have also used the rug to review letter names, letter sounds, and spell words.
Thank you again for your generous donations!”
