Balance Balls for Blossoming Brains!

The balance balls and bases have significantly helped my students in the classroom. I've noticed that they are able to focus on a task longer and are less fidgety with their pencils and other desk items. It seems as though some of their test scores have also improved. They are still figuring out their bouncing limit and at times I have to remind them. We rotate classes and when the students from other teachers come in for art they are so excited to sit on the balls. Overall, I am so thankful that my project was funded and that I got the opportunity to try something new to help my students and their academics.”

I have a fantastic group of 1st graders. Each one is so uniquely individual in a class that's culturally diverse. We are a lively, bright group of children. A majority of the children are second language learners. Although challenged with a language barrier, my students come every day eager and ready to learn. We are a community school located in Los Angeles, CA with strong family commitment. My students have many of the benefits that students in other areas do not. A supportive PTA/Youth Association supply teachers/students with a wide range of materials, but the economy has hit our families hard and they are now more limited with how much they can help us.
