My preschool special education class serves children ages 3-5 years old with mild to severe disabilities. They all have individual goals that primarily focus on language development, social skills, and pre-academic skills. I teach at a diverse Title I public school in Los Angeles where 100% of the students are enrolled in the free lunch program and come from a variety of backgrounds. Despite many setbacks and limited materials, our students come to school ready to learn.
