  • Learning Through Dramatization And Play Is The Best Way!

    Funded Dec 17, 2023

We cannot thank you enough for your generous donation to our "Learning Through Dramatization And Play Is The Best Way!" project. We have been having such a blast using the props and costumes that your donation helped us to receive.

The pirate ship tent and treasure box helped us pretend to be the pirates in the Magic Treehouse book, Pirates Past Noon. The royal robes came in handy for pretending the be the kings and queens at the royal feast during Medieval Times during the Magic Treehouse book, Knight at Dawn.

We absolutely loved trying our hand at eating popcorn with chopsticks. It was a little trickier than we expected, but we felt like we were eating just like the ninjas would have in Ancient Japan. This went with the Magic Treehouse book, Ninjas at Night.

The passports are helping us keep track of all of the place we have traveled with Jack and Annie this year.

Thanks again for your generous donation! You have helped make learning even more fun for us!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Regal

  • Back To School With Fairy Tales

    Funded Nov 20, 2023

We cannot thank all of you enough for your generous donations to our "Back to School With Fairy Tales" project. My students were so excited to see all of the things that you donated to our classroom. We can't wait to try out our new whiteboards tomorrow for graphics practice and write along. The lines will help us with correct letter formation and placement.

The kids absolutely loved the aprons, skirts, and bear headbands to use while acting out the fairy tale, Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The books will be great read alouds to go along with the fairy tales.

The baby dolls will be a great addition to our house area during free play. We love to play family! Some of the girls have been taking care of them since we opened the box.

The goldfish crackers, fruit snacks, and mini-oreos are very much appreciated since some of my students have been unable to bring in items from home for our afternoon snack break.

We really appreciate your generosity. Thank you so much!!”

  • Games to Help Us With Our Fine Motor Skills

    Funded Dec 29, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our project, "Games to Help Us With Our Fine Motor Skills". We were so excited to get these games that we started using them as soon as the custodian delivered them to our classroom. After showing my students how to play all of the games, each group went to their center table and the fun began. All of these games have some sort of tweezers, which the kids had to use to grab different things such as letters, numbers, gumballs, bones, carrots or bananas. It was such a fun way to strengthen our fingers and practice our fine motor skills. We cannot thank you enough for making our wishes come true.”

  • Let's Blast Off to the Moon

    Funded Oct 27, 2022

We cannot thank you enough for your generous donations to our "Let's Blast Off to the Moon" project. These items will be used now and in future years to help my students dramatize The Magic Tree House book, Midnight on the Moon. It makes it so much more fun to act out the chapters when we can wear the awesome spacesuits, space boots, gloves and helmets and go inside of the rocketship tent. The kids will have a blast helping each other get into their space gear just like they do in real life. My students and I greatly appreciate your generosity!”

  • Learning Through Play...It's The Best Way In 5K

    Funded Aug 31, 2022

We cannot thank you enough for funding our "Learning Through Play...It's the Best Way in 5K" project. We have been having a blast wearing the pig headbands to act out "The Three Little Pigs" story. We cannot wait to get to the Lions at Lunchtime story so that we can wear the safari vests and hats and use the binoculars to study the animals of the African Savanna. The monkey and jaguar headbands will be just the right props for our Afternoon on the Amazon Magic Tree House book. The hieroglyphics book with stamps will be great for writing messages to each other just like the Egyptians did in the Mummies in the Morning story.

These props and costumes will make learning and dramatizing each book so much more fun and meaningful. Your generosity is so very much appreciated!”

  • Books to Take Us on Adventures With Jack and Annie

    Funded Aug 8, 2022

Thank you so much for funding our "Books to Take Us on Adventures with Jack and Annie" project. My students and I were so thrilled to open up the box filled with these amazing books.

We can't wait to read each one when we get to the Magic Tree House book that it goes with. The kids were especially excited about the pirate and ninja books.

It will be great to have some read alouds that help us learn more about each place that Jack and Annie visit. Having that background knowledge will help us dramatize the chapters each day as well.

We appreciate your generosity! Thanks again!”

  • Magic Tree House Books Make Learning Fun

    Funded Apr 28, 2022

We cannot thank you enough for your generous donation to our "Magic Tree House Books Make Learning Fun" project. My students were so excited to see all of the new games and materials that go along with the Magic Tree House books that we have been reading this year.

Since we were just about to start math centers when our boxes were delivered to our classroom, several groups were able to try the Pop-it Dice counting game and the Pop Up Pirate Game. They were a huge hit! We can't wait to try the "Don't Rock the Boat" game tomorrow. We will be using our glasses when we dramatize the story during literacy centers for the remainder of the school year. I will then use the extras with my class next year.

It was so much fun learning to use the chopsticks to pick up popcorn. This activity went nicely with the Ninjas at Night story.

Thanks again for helping to make learning fun!”

  • We Love Pete the Cat and Learning Center Games!

    Funded Feb 22, 2022

Thank you so much for funding our project. We love our new math and literacy learning center games. When my students saw them, they couldn't wait to try them out right away. Their number sense and mental math skills have already improved with Zingo, Number Slapjack, Pop and Learn Numbers and I Sea 10! The literacy games have been equally well-received. They especially love "POP for Letters."

The best part is my students are having fun and learning at the same time, which is the goal of our play-based curriculum. It's a win-win!!

Pete the Cat books that were donated are just the icing on the cake. Thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Regal

  • Laughing and Learning With Elephant and Piggie

    Funded Sep 27, 2021

Thank you so much for donating to our "Laughing and Learning with Elephant and Piggie" project. We were so thrilled to receive our collection of 25 new books with the adorable elephant and piggie bookends.

We have been reading a couple of the books everyday and are truly enjoying them. My students are noticing the action marks and speech bubbles already. I am confident that they will soon be using them in their own writing and drawing. They have already becoming pretty great at making elephant and piggie drawings as you can see in their pictures.

Thanks again for your amazingly generositydonation! We appreciate it so much!”

  • Keeping Our Germs to Ourselves & Having Fun With Pete

    Funded Aug 21, 2020

Thank you so much for funding our project. We have certainly been putting our new automatic hand santizier to good use this school year. It is so much easier for my kindergarten kiddos to use than the pump dispensers. We are also enjoying the Pete the Cat books and wooden puzzles that correlate with the different themes we are learning about in the Magic Tree House books. They make each week a little more fun!

Our "First Day of Kindergarten" sign was such a cute addition to our first day of school pictures. The parents loved them. They added just the right touch.

We cannot thank you enough for your generosity!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Regal

It has been my joy to teach Kindergarten at a great school for the past 27 years. The best part for me has been to watch each student grow and change from the first day of school to the last. What a difference! It's amazing.
