Funded Dec 1, 2021The Printing Essentials for Preschool project has given our class access to a valuable resource! For most of my students, visuals are a necessity. Our class did not have direct access to a functional color printer, which made it difficult to provide students with visuals that met their sensory needs. Your donation to Printing Essentials for Preschool has made a significant change in the way that students are learning. The ability to access visuals as needed with the necessary print/font/color has been awesome! Thank you for your kindness, you have helped improve learning in so many ways for my little learners!”

Funded Sep 18, 2021I am a teacher of energetic and happy young students with various disabilities and various ways of learning. My students communicate in various ways and your generous donation has provided students with engaging visuals for our classroom as well as individual use.
Visuals play a important role in our classroom because the pictures give students ways to independently express their wants and needs as well as participate in learning and communicate their understanding. Students are always excited to see new visuals and eager to use the visuals throughout our day. We use visuals as step by step cues to help students with tasks, such as hand washing. Visuals are also used as communication and choice boards, which allow students to communicate their wants and needs by choosing a picture. Our learning is enhanced by using visuals to create learning tools such as daily schedules to help students recall their day's activities and folders that give students the opportunity to practice academic skills.
Thank you for making a difference in the learning of my students, you have given us access to valuable learning and communication tools!”

Funded Dec 3, 2019Thank you for your heartfelt donation! As many illnesses arise, it is important that health precautions are in place due to many of my students having illnesses that cause their immune systems to be lowered. To help control germs, it has been great having the Purell Hand Sanitizing wipes and Lysol Disinfecting wipes! The hand sanitizing wipes have allowed me to properly clean and sanitize the hands of students as well as myself. The disinfecting wipes have made sure that our work area, manipulatives, and materials are clean and safely disinfected. These supplies have played an important part in helping to keep my students and materials clean and healthy, I am very grateful for your kind donation that made this possible!”

Funded Apr 30, 2019Thank you for your kind contribution to Special Books for Special Learners! I was very touched and excited for the funding of this project because of the difficulty to access books that are specially designed to meet the needs of special learners. Your generosity has provided card stock paper, a thermal laminator, laminating paper, and Velcro dots, which are essential to creating adapted books. With the supplies, many adapted books were created to support the learning of my special learners. Thank you for providing students with disabilities an opportunity to participate in early literacy learning in an interactive way!”

Funded Feb 19, 2019Upon arrival of our binding machine, my students were curious and excited! They began working on pages for our insect unit and they were anxious to have chance to see their work become a book. They were so proud of their work and even more excited to share their books with their families! Since receiving the binding machine and materials, we have created books that are unique to each student and provided them with a way to connect to reading in a way that is specific, individualized, and fun. The experience of creating their own books has held sentimental value to each student and their families. This would not be possible without the help of you. As a teacher, my heart is warmed. To know that you believed in my students and made these experiences happen, is simply amazing. Thank you for your kindness and helping provide for my students. We are forever grateful!”

Sight Word Frenzy
Funded Aug 21, 2017Thank you for contributing to our sight word frenzy! Learning sight words is one of the skills that Kindergarten students learn to assist with reading. We work on being able to identify sight words quickly when we see them in reading, writing, environmental print, and any other written form. All of the resources you donated to our class have assisted my students in practicing their Kindergarten sight words.
Students were in the beginning stages of learning sight words when the materials were received. Many of them were unsure about sight words, but quickly became engaged with the talking boards, seashell game, and making sight word sandwiches. They were amazed at how Zingo made sight words into a game! We now make sight word sandwiches using a timer to see how fast we can build the word sandwiches and we "dig" for seashells by seeing who can make the most matches.
The materials you donated have made a huge difference in the learning in my classroom and in student engagement. Thank you for providing my students with materials that allow them to be interactive while learning. I am thankful for your generosity and the positive impact it has had on my current students as well as the impact it will have on my future students.”
