Woods Runner by Gary Paulsen will help to bring the details of the Revolutionary War alive for my students. Students will come face to face with the challenges, achievements, and a personal account of the Revolutionary War. Not only will students learn about the history of this great country, at the same time, they will learn vital literature standards that will help them to become critical readers and writers. Through the pages of these books students will study the details of the war, survival, and the excruciating choices those who lived during this time period had to make. They will come away with an understanding of what generations before them have sacrificed to make this country what it is today.

About my class
