This year we are focusing more on technology integration in the classroom. The use of the Smart board is almost a daily routine in instruction in my classroom especially during Science and Social Studies. The student computers that were in my room were outdated and did not function properly. Students will need a Chromebook in my classroom this year, as I will be be using Google Classroom, and students will need to learn how to use it and turn in materials and create projects using the technology in the classroom as groups or individuals. Outside the classroom they will use the Chromebooks in Robotics club. The Chromebooks will allow my students to follow along with me while I am teaching them how to use the material or introducing a new assignment using technology so they know exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work in Google Classroom. I am excited about doing this, integrating more use of technology in my students' learning; it will be engaging for all my students especially those who have focusing issues and they miss important instruction from either myself or other students. So by having Chromebooks, students will be able to avoid all of some problems and focus on increasing their learning! By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not whether their materials are going to work or not. Plus in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and become successful. We are 21st century learners!
