Table Time & Tasks
Funded Sep 6, 2023There are not enough words to thank you for your generous donations towards this project! My students and I are so grateful for all of you. It is because of your donations that we were able to add this u shaped table to our classroom. This table has given us the opportunity to meet as groups where we can all see each other. As the teacher I am able to see each students face as well as the work they are completing. This enables me to see their mistakes and successes immediately to either help them fix something or celebrate their success. It has provided a central meeting area in our classroom and the students love being a part of the u table group! I wish you could have seen the look on their faces when they walked into the classroom and saw the table for the first time. They could not believe that people they didn't even know wanted to help them! We will continue to use this table daily for small group and 1:1 meetings. Thanks again for your support!”

Funded Mar 17, 2023Thank you on behalf of myself and my students for funding our project. The gift cards were used wisely on activities that the students could complete both independently and as small groups. We were able to obtain activities that allowed students to practice skills in an engaging way. These activities were differentiated; therefore all students were able to participate. The thermal pouches enabled us to laminate the activities once purchased with the gift cards; this ensures that we will be able to use them over and over again.”

Readers Today, Leaders Tomorrow
Funded Sep 11, 2021We cannot thank you enough for your generosity and donation to our classroom. The looks on my students faces when each box arrived was priceless. They were so excited to open each and every box and check out all of the new books. They could not believe that someone who didn't even know them would care enough to donate to their classroom. They were most surprised that many of these books were on their independent reading levels and could therefor be read by them to them. This is not often the case with these students. Many times the books we have are above their level and they need to rely on someone else to read to them. These books have already been so instrumental in their learning. We have used some of the books for class read alouds and discussions around social emotional learning. We have used others for independent reading. Students have been allowed to borrow the books and use them for their daily reading. They are able to take books home. This made those students have no access to books so excited. Other books we received have been used during our guided reading groups, where a small group of students reads the book together and works on their comprehension skills with the teacher. The fact that these students have interesting books at their levels is amazing. As a teacher I love to read but what I love more is the looks on the faces of my students when they realize that they can read too!”

Learners Love Laptops
Funded Sep 10, 2019Thank you for providing the resources that our classroom so desperately needs. Technology is a huge part of our world today and has a large impact on student learning. As a result of your donation, students in my classroom are able to access programs on our new laptops to help them in all areas of their learning. Some of the programs we use include raz kids, imagine learning, xtramath. These laptops have helped our classroom in so many ways, including, making learning for engaging, improving students knowledge retention, encouraging individual learning styles and abilities, encouraging collaboration, and learning useful life skills through technology. Thank you again.”

Read, Lead, Succeed
Funded Jan 26, 2018We want to thank you for your generosity in donating to this project and enabling us to receive new books for our classroom. In our classroom you can walk in and find an engaging read aloud where students are sitting on the edge of their seats excited to participate in lively, relevant, and excited conversation. Thanks to this donation our students also have the opportunity to hold a concrete piece of text in their hands to either enjoy in the classroom or at home. These new texts have allowed us to introduce and work on skills and strategies such as visualizing, figurative language, and critical thinking. Thank you for your kindness and for caring enough to donate to our classroom.”

Funded Nov 24, 2017I would like to take the time to thank you on behalf of my students. The looks on their faces when they heard that our project for thesauruses and dictionaries had been funded was amazing. But, to see the looks on those faces when the materials arrived and they witnessed the reality of your generosity was truly priceless. My students and I are forever grateful for your generosity and thoughtfulness. We use the thesauruses and dictionaries all the time in the classroom. The instructional focus at our school this year is to improve vocabulary. We use frayer models all the time in which we define words and look for synonyms and antonyms and example and write sentences. We struggled to complete these tasks before we received the dictionaries and thesauruses. Since we received the materials the students are now excited about vocabulary. We have you to thank for that.”

Fidget and Focus
Funded Nov 14, 2016You cannot even begin to imagine the change in my students as a result of these wobble chairs! You should have seen the look on their faces when I took them out of the box! If you just walked into my room and looked at them, you would think they were a toy. But, they really are a life saver! They have helped my students who just could not sit still during a lesson or task time. These students can now remain "seated" and move at the same time. The simple use of these chairs has increased their focus while providing the movement they so desperately need. Thank you for caring enough about 'my kids' to donate the”

Practice Makes Perfect
Funded Oct 11, 2016You have made a huge difference in the lives of my students! From the moment of the arrival of this package of workbooks, my students have been forever changed. They are able to practice the reading, writing, and spelling skills they are learning. They look forward to getting to work in their workbooks each day. They are motivated to read and learn. The impact that your generosity has had on my students self esteem and reading foundational skills will last forever. We are lucky that there are generous people like you that care!”

Baskets Of Books
Funded Sep 1, 2016My students love the books that our classroom received! We are so appreciative of your generosity in donating to this project. Each day our school has DEAR time where everyone drops everything and reads. With your donation, my students can now participate in that time with their peers. They all have books to read on their reading and interest level. This has made a huge impact on their self esteem as well as increasing their reading stamina. For the first time, my students are asking when they will be able to read! This is all thanks to you!”

Playing To Learn
Funded Feb 10, 2014From all of the students and staff at this school, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We used the games you donated to create lunch activity boxes for the classes to share in the cafeteria. The introduction of the materials you donated has changed the culture of our cafeteria and the behavior of the students. One students said, "In my opinion, being able to play games during our lunch period has made both lunchtime and school a more enjoyable experience....My friends and I challenge each other and with our positive spirit we end up having some of the best lunchtimes yet! Most students probably don't realize this, but playing most of these games requires thinking, strategies, and skills." Lunch became a time of the day that students look forward to now. Your donation has truly impacted all of the students in this school.”
