Rewarding Behavior
Funded Aug 22, 2023I wanted to personally thank you all for the wonderful donation to our classroom. I was able to purchase a lot of new prizes to reward my students for working hard and for their behavior. The students were so excited to see the new prizes they could earn for good behavior.
My students are loving the punch cards and getting to choose prizes.
The students get so excited when their card is full so that they can go to the prize box. Seeing their faces light up is so rewarding for me.
Thanks again for your support.”

Centers Galore
Funded Jul 14, 2022Thank You once again for your generous donation to our classroom. The students were so excited when the games arrived. It was like Christmas for them. My students are really enjoying the learning games that I purchased. This has become their favorite center in our classroom. They are not only learning, but also having fun while doing it. They are learning to work together to accomplish a task and enjoying spending time with their friends during work time. The students always want to get the games out during inside recess. The smiles on their faces says it all.”

Funded Apr 30, 2021Thank you so much for purchasing our small group table. This table allows for my students and I to work on skills needed to be successful in first grade. We are able to work in small groups of 6-8 and this allows students to be more focused and engaged in each activity. The students love the new table and really enjoy working with me in a smaller setting. They receive more individual attention and can work with the other students to help further their own learning as well as helping the students sitting with them if they are struggling with a concept.”

Funded Aug 11, 2020I am writing this letter to say thank you for your generous donation to our classroom. The money you donated was used to purchase math manipulatives for the students.
My students were so excited to use the ten frames. It gave the kids a visual and that really helped the ones who were struggling with beginning addition.
I am able to not only have a workbook the kids can take home for extra practice, but I can project the assignment on the promethean board and do a whole group activity with them.
The ten frames will come in handy for many math skills we work on in 1st grade.
Again, thank you for helping my students enjoy learning the skills needed to be successful.”

Funded Aug 21, 2019I am writing this letter to thank you for the generous donation to my classroom. The rug you donated has been a wonderful addition to our classroom. It has added a comfortable and warm spot for my kids to sit and given a pop of color to the room.
My students enjoy getting books and laying on the rug to read. We also enjoy doing whole group activities on the rug including having our guidance counselor come in to do her lesson. The kids also watching movies while laying on the rug.
Your kindness will be used by many classes to come. Thank you again for helping me and my students enjoy school a little more.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Walmart.Magnetic Math Manipulatives
Funded Mar 29, 2016Dear Best School Days,
Thank you for purchasing the math manipulatives for our classroom. We have been using the base ten blocks for 3-digit subtraction. We usually do a quick math review lesson first thing each morning. We are able to put the magnetic base ten blocks on our large white board so that all the kids can see how and why we regroup when subtracting.
The kids were so excited when I pulled out the materials and used them on the large white board. They like that they are large enough to see during a whole group lesson but are also small enough to use in a small group setting.
I will be putting the manipulatives at each table and having the kids work in groups to solve math problems.”

Getting Organized: Keeping Track of Our Homework
Funded Aug 21, 2015I just wanted to say thank you so much for your donation to our class. My students were so excited when they got the reading pouches. They now have a place to keep all materials. They wanted to know how much they cost and were so glad that people like you could give to them.
They are able to keep their daily reading book, sight words, and agenda books inside and it really helps them to stay organized. Each day they place all materials that go home and return them right back so they don't forget them at home.
Their reading skills are getting better each day because they remember to take home their leveled reading books, read them, and return them to school so that we have them for small group reading.”
