SEL Bilingual Books
Funded Mar 28, 2024I cannot thank you enough for the social emotional learning tools that I received from my project. The books on feelings in both English and Spanish are perfect for teaching my Multilingual Learners social skills, rules, and making friends. The books are easy to read and understand in both languages.
My students also love the feelings blocks that go along with the books. They can match pictures to words, communicate feelings with them, and sort them. It was extremely helping to have these materials for the beginning of school! Your generosity is truly appreciated.”

Funded Jan 9, 2024Thank you for your generous donations that allowed me to purchase coats, hats, gloves, and scarves for students in need. I was able to purchase 16 coats, 72 hats, 72 pairs of gloves, and 72 scarves! Any student who needs these items will get them immediately.
This winter's weather has been particularly brutal in the Northeast and even spring can be cold and windy. Many students have already been given these warm items. They have been warmed by your generocity and my heart has been warmed. I will have plenty of extras for next year as well!”

Funded Aug 15, 2023Thank you for providing my English Learners hands on materials to use during literacy and math centers. My students were so excited to see the fun, colorful, and engaging materials. One of their favorite centers is the sensory pom pom box. It is filled with pom poms and upper and lowercase letters. They dig through the bin to find matching letters. Another favorite is counting with squishy worms. They really enjoyed making letters and numbers in the kinetic sand.
Your generous donations provided them with engaging, hands on manipulatives that will help them build the strong listening, speaking, reading, and writing and math skills needed for success in the classroom and beyond.”

Funded Jul 26, 2023My English Learners were so excited to use the hands on materials to learn about plants.
They were most excited about being able to see the roots grow as the plant grew. They were able to choose seeds to plant and take their plant home to show families. The new literature inlcuded in the project provided engaging illustrations and stories to introduce my students to the life cycle of plants and importance of bees.
Your generous donations provided them with engaging, hands on manipulatives that will help them build the strong listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills needed for success in the classroom and beyond.”

Cultural Rich Dramatic Play!
Funded Sep 20, 2022I cannot express in words the look on my student's faces when they saw dolls that looked like them! Their eyes were wide with excitement with the biggest smiles I have ever seen! The social emotional positivity that eminated from the play center was amazing. Both boys and girls were caring for the baby dolls. The multicultural foods were perfect for acting out family dinner time.
My multiligual learners were using new vocabulary and interacting with students who speak other languages than they do. Learning through play engages all students and enables them to use and keep the language they are learning. Again, I am very thankful for the generous donations to make this possible.”

Funded Oct 2, 2021My students loved the toothbrushes, toothpaste and masks! Thanks to you I was able to teach a unit on dental health and wellness. My students practiced brushing teeth on a giant model that I borrowed from the nurse. They also discussed how important it is to take care of their teeth.
We are tracking how many teeth they have lost and when a new one falls out or is wiggly, the whole group gets excited! Even though we completed the unit in October, they continue to talk about how they are caring for their teeth at home.
The could not believe that people like you donated the toothbrushes, toothpaste, and masks so that they could have some of their very own. They are so grateful for these precious materials.”

Resources For Teachers By Teachers
Funded Aug 30, 2021Teachers Pay Teachers is the best place to find lessons and supports for my English Learners. I am extremely grateful for the gift cards to this website. I have already downloaded materials to help teachers and students communicate with each other.
My students enjoy the activities that I have received from Teachers Pay Teachers. They are interactive and fun. Not only do they have printed materials but also activities for the Smart Board.
Having your support has given me the ability to pay for the more creative activities for my students! You are all angels!”

To Each, Their Own
Funded Aug 24, 2021My students are over the moon with the supplies that were given to them by my generous donors. The look on their faces was heartwarming when they found out that the materials belonged to them.
I am inspired by donors like you who think of children in this difficult time of Covid 19 protocols. They will be safe with their personal school supply packets and will not have to share and wipe down materials every day.
I have enough supplies left over to resupply students as needed. This is one less thing they have to worry about! You are all angels!”

Funded May 25, 2021What a wonderful first week of in person schooling! I was relieved to know that my students would have individual materials to keep everyone safe in my classroom. They have a special place to store them in the room
My students loved getting their very own pencil case with pencils, crayons, colored pencils, erasers, glue sticks and scissors! The expressions on their faces was priceless. When I told them that the materials were given to them by special friends they were overwhelmed with gratitude. They appreciate everything they get.
I also want to personally thank everyone for the generous donations that made this project possible. You are all angels!”

Funded Oct 12, 2018I am so excited to have the "Zones of Regulation" curriculum, posters, and game for my students to use and to share with my colleagues to use with their students! The colorful construction paper is perfect to make books and other supports to help students identify and control their emotions. Students enjoy playing the game "Navigating the Zones". They use problem solving strategies and collaboration to reach a shared goal. I love watching students working together and talking about their feelings in a non-competitive game. Thank you again for funding my project. Social-emotional learning and health is so critical to a students success in school and you have enabled my students to have a great start!”
