The iPads will be used by my kindergarten through eighth grade students to read ebooks, create videos, write blogs, use data bases to research assignments, do self checkout, take photos, create projects after units of study to showcase their learning, create electronic books and so much more. My students will become more immersed in their learning when they enter the library. I envision taking my students into the 21st Century with assignments that are vivid, energizing and create lifelong learners. The iPad is student friendly, meaning students can quickly learn from the application, meet the needs of all students while honoring their multiple intelligents. My vision is to have culminating activities that are tangible, creative and innovative. I am an advocate for hands-on learning and research after every major unit. With the iPads in the classroom, students will be using a piece of technology that will help them explore, create, to edit, draw, share ideas and collaborate with one another. Students will surf the web and research, links and apps to receive further information in math, science, reading and writing. Learning with advanced technology is the best and most effective way of keeping students engaged and motivated.
