My students are constantly amazing me. They are inquisitive and insightful. They are ambitious enough to tackle any assigned task. Many of them come from homes where parents are often struggling to provide their basic necessities, and asking them to purchase novels is often a very difficult ask. Even with the unlimited possibilities that they know lie within books, it is simply financially unfeasible. They are eager to learn and appreciate novels from the classics to modern fiction. The variety provides students a greater success rate in standardized testing.
