I will be focusing next year on Social emotional learning in the classroom. Having a library that focuses on Social Emotional Learning will help to encourage and facilitate social skills. I have focused my project on SEL books. The books I have selected will be accompanied with a lesson and writing prompts for their very own beautiful journals. Encouraging students to write about their thoughts, experiences and dreams will help them to become thinkers. Coupling the two will make amazing supports for social emotional learning. The students can use the journals the entire year and look back at the end on how they have grown.
