For the first time in our school history, we are offering a STEM classroom. The heart of our 6th grade STEM classroom will focus on the "Design Thinking Process," which engages students to think through and be curious about real-life problems and create solutions. Students will engage in design challenges, interactive STEM activities, robotics, coding, CAD, real-world problem-solving, and learn how to be a team player, etc. Since this is a new type of classroom, we do not have any STEM lessons or materials. We are building a room to have a "Thinker/Maker" Station with various engaging STEM learning opportunities for all kinds of minds. The students will use critical thinking skills and collaborate with peers, partner with High School Engineering students, set goals, design, own their decisions, interact with our community to define/solve problems, and be exposed to different STEM career fields.
By donating to our project, you will be investing in our future generation and preparing children for successful careers and the opportunity to learn life-long skills. Helping to supply STEM materials for the 6th-grade students will ignite their critical and innovative thinking. Building a strong STEM foundation now will set students up for future success. Students who receive a STEM education are primed to become our next-generation innovators. A logical thought process will help students succeed in any field. STEM jobs are the future of our economy.
Thank you for helping and supporting us in building our new STEM Class.
