Students, Interrupted
Funded Jan 25, 2018I would like to thank you all so much for supporting myself and my students!! I cannot wait to get the materials and start our next project! I cannot wait for my students to begin reading these books and learning more about social and abnormal psychology. These novels will definitely help support them when taking the AP exam and I am grateful for all the support!”

Funded Sep 2, 2015I want to express my appreciation for your generosity in support of my classroom's project. Your personal commitment was incredibly helpful and allowed us to reach our goal. Your assistance means so much to me but even more to my students. Thank you from all of us. The students have used the binders to take notes on a daily basis, and used this along with the Regents Review books to complete study guidelines for their Regents exam. One of my students expressed that they feel much more confident now that they had proper materials to work with.
When they first got their materials, the students were extremely excited because they now had a place to keep all of their materials in one place. The previous year my students kept all their work in folders and would carry these with them throughout the day and to their homes. This caused several students to lose their work and fall behind on their grades. However, now that the students can leave their work in the classroom, they are able to keep track of their belongings and are able to use these resources while they are working in groups. The Regents review books also helped support the students in preparation for their state exam.
The next steps for my classroom is to create a project to fund a trip for students who have still not mastered the skills to pass the Regents exam. I teach Prep classes, which are in place to support students who are struggling to pass the state exams. I have implements several projects this semester which have allowed students to understand major topics that the exam covers, but for next semester I want to implement some field trips that will support students in gaining more of the knowledge and skills required for the Regents exam. I hope to continue to use Donors Choose to support the learning in my classroom.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Bartley
