Since I teach 3 grade levels and 2 different subjects, teaching my students independence and organization is key to a successful school year. My students thrive off of classroom organization, since they use every part of my classroom; and eventually get to where they run it on their own. Centers are used weekly in my classroom, meaning everything must be organized in order to them to run smoothly. My students eventually, in the year, do centers completely independently. Organization for center manipulatives for 3 grade levels and 2 subjects can get over whelming and confusing to students. I try to have everything, daily, in bins and labeled for students to easily access. Students use a variety of manipulatives in each center, for better hands-on understanding of various skills. The white boards make it easier for students to show their work, and draw pictures, which they have to do on open response questions. The rolling bins (3) are to organize games, manipulatives, and task cards for center work for each grade. The laminating sheets are to laminate task cards we use in centers daily. These task cards cover each standard and give students a chance to move around the classroom.
