  • Turn the Page

    Funded Sep 2, 2021

It's amazing how much words can change lives. Books are loaded with words that create experiences for the reader. Books take you on a journey outside of your normal life. For many kids, they never leave their home town, but books help them travel the world. You made this possible. You are the reason these children are able to expand their schema and life experiences. You will never truly understand the impact you have made on our future and for this, I will be eternally grateful. Welcome to our classroom family.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Simon

  • A Whole New World

    Funded Jul 14, 2021

Students deserve access to fun, challenging texts. Without your donation, I would not have been able to provide them with such an amazing variety of books. You made this possible. My kiddos love to use these books in their book clubs. Having access to multiple copies of the same book is incredibly helpful. This allows them the ability to read with a partner or group, with a sense of independence. We are very grateful for your donation and want you to know that you're now part of our forever family.”

  • In Color

    Funded Mar 3, 2021

It's odd to think about people not owning a color printer, but it's pretty common to not have one in today's classrooms. However, you have made it possible. Being able to print books and learning materials in color is amazing! My students feel 'important' when they receive printed learning materials. It also allows us the opportunity to print research slides that are created in class. The students are so proud to show off their creations to their families and friends. The looks on their faces is priceless.”

  • Art in the Classroom

    Funded Dec 8, 2020

Words cannot express how excited my kiddos were to receive the wonderful art supplies that you help provide. They use the trays weekly for watercolor painting that correlate to our reading curriculum. The paint pens were used for our Kind Rock project. We also read the book Scribble Stones and then each kiddo painted a rock to match their personality. The wooden ornaments made the most adorable Christmas project with the children's fingerprints. We turned the fingerprints into tiny reindeer.

Your generous donation helped to bring smiles to my class and I will be forever grateful.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Simon

  • Level Up

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

All teachers strive to provide their kiddos with an opportunity to grow beyond even their own expectations. Being able to provide children with the chance to move "up" a level in reading to the great and mighty chapter book, is truly a blessing. The group of children who received these books went from a 1st grade reading level to a mid 3rd grade level in 14 weeks. Please know that you played a huge part in the transformation. Your chapter books were the first step in strengthening their love of reading. I am forever grateful for your help in creating a generation of kids who truly enjoy reading.”

  • Help Spanish Parents Read with their Child

    Funded Nov 20, 2020

I cannot express my gratitude for the bilingual books that you purchased on behalf of my students. The feedback from the Spanish speaking parents has been phenomenal. Not only are they able to spend time with their child, they can now contributed to their reading education, something they've never been able to do before. One parent said, "My son now loves to read books. It is a special time for the two of us to spend together. I can help him read and he helps me learn new words in English. We help each other". Your donation is being used to educate both students and their families, as well as helping involve parents in the education process. For that, I will be forever in your debt.”

  • Future Builders

    Funded Feb 2, 2020

I remember the day the boxes arrived in the classroom. The children could not believe that a stranger would buy a gift for them. That someone in the world care so much about their happiness. Their eyes light up and the smiles on their faces were priceless.

Before leaving the classroom due to the COVID pandemic, my students using these building materials on a weekly basis. After testing on Fridays, the kids were allowed to work in small groups to see who could construct the largest building using specific shapes. It' was amazing! We have you to thank for that.”

  • Supply Me!

    Funded Nov 6, 2017

It's funny how something so simple can change the direction of the day for a child. Many of my students arrive at school with no supplies because no one has taken the time to invest in their education. And then YOU step into the picture. Your investment changes these students. They feel valued and important. Composition notebooks, pencils, colored pens and dry erase markers may seem trivial to you and me, but it is transforming to them. It means some cares and believes in them. For that, I will be forever grateful. Welcome to the Wildwood family.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Simon

I teach at a Title I school where the majority of the students are low-income and/or English Language Learners. Regardless of the incredible challenges my students face daily, they show up each morning with smiles on their faces and an eagerness to learn. In our classroom we support either other socially, emotionally, and academically. My students walk in as individuals on the first day of school and walk out 36 weeks later as part of a classroom family.
