Having access to different modes of learning, particularly technology, expands students' knowledge and independence. In my class, technology is a means towards my students' learning adventures using inquiry and investigation. My students will have opportunities during centers to read and/or listen to books on their level, explore mathematical concepts, and apply problem solving as they engage in science research and discovery. Readying my students to be computer literate will allow them to easily apply their content knowledge as they embark on their learning. This year's goal is to provide my students with the skill set necessary in creating digital portfolios of their work. This portfolio will include student work samples, a progression of their oral reading, presentations and much more.By equipping my students with HP Chromebooks, they are able to apply real life skills necessary to navigate the world.
