Mask Our Noses, Not Our Education
Funded Aug 3, 2020Thank you so much for your kindness towards our students. Having these supplies will get the school year started on a positive note. Many times it is so hard to supply the classroom and it will be even harder to get parents to buy supplies at this time in our world. Thanks to you, it is DONE!!”

This classroom project was brought to life by Ripple.Harvey Hit Hard But We Will Hit Harder!
Funded Nov 10, 2017I can sing a joyful song to you for helping our classroom to be healthier, safer, and cleaner. When the boxes arrived in the classroom with the supplies the students already knew it was something for them and it was going to be good! As I showed them the Clorox Wipes and paper towels, they were saying great now we don't have to wait for the custodians to clean the desk at the end of the day, we can clean them! We have breakfast in the classroom and there is always a spill to clean up. Having the cases for the tablets makes me feel better about the students taking them to their desk because before they would have to sit at my desk and work. The reward gifts have made competitions in my room become the talk of third grade. You always hear them in the hallway asking each other which class won? The awesome printer allows me to print data sheets in color and pictures of their successes that we hang in our data room. Thank you again for granting these very needed supplies and please continue to support teachers.”

Harvey Hit the Road, We Are Houston Strong
Funded Oct 2, 2017Can you say excited!! When the boxes arrived in the room the students were wide eyed and wondering what was in the boxes. I allowed students to help me open the boxes to see what was going to make our classroom better. I used that moment to be very dramatic as we opened the boxes. As I opened the headphones they were excited because they knew they no longer had to wait for others to finish at the computer before they could go to the could log in. One student even commented on the new smell!! When I revealed the pencils and erasers they were ready to put them in their zip loc bags. Each student was happy to receive two pencils and an eraser. I had to explain how the ink, sheet protectors, and pouches would help around the class by making our centers colorful, bright, and neat. Many of the students would handle the folders for the centers very rough, but with them being protected and in color I think they will care more about preserving them for other students to use. With seventy-one students you have many celebrations and birthdays. By having the color ink and laminating pouches, I can pass out certificates and rewards and make them durable by laminating for students to cherish for months. With the hundredth day of school approaching, students will be able to type and plan their projects at school and print out their reports for their presentations to the class instead of writing them. I was also excited about the ink because I made my student data trackers and was able to print them in color which makes them look much nicer. We received the ink cartridge a little later and explained to them how that would be used to help me print instantly in the room. Some students were not too excited about that because I explained if they didn't have their homework, I could print it out right there in the classroom with no excuses and they could redo it. Now for the big reveal the Samsung Tablets! They went wild!! I explained how we would take turns using the tablets, how to take care of the tablets, and what all they can do on the tablets. Many of them said they have tablets at home, but to have one two in class to use with the headphones was nothing like at home. Now we can take a tablet with us during our restroom breaks and we can do fast facts, name shapes, and sadly do conduct changes. The tablet also helps me because if I am waiting in my car for something it is very easy to pull out and do lesson plans and create worksheets for assignments. Being awarded these supplies brought many smiles to my students after such a hard time with Harvey. One of my students approached me a little later and told me how they lost all their electronics because of flooding in their house and they could not wait to use the tablets. Well, you don't have to ask, but that student gets thirty minutes on the tablet everyday no questions asked. I can not thank you enough for funding this project and seeing how important it means to the students and me. Again, thank you and please continue to support teachers.”

Keeping Up With Technology
Funded Nov 2, 2012I cannot express how happy my students were to use the new Galaxy Tablet and Laptop to assist students while recording their scores. Using the programs that are provided by my school district allows me to travel with the laptop and tablet to different areas of the school to keep up with distances ran, students who have not had a turn yet, and grades for report cards.
Donating these types of items to low income schools really makes a difference in the lives of the teacher and students. Again thank you so much!”

We're On Empty, Fill Us Up Please!
Funded Dec 30, 2015Thank you so much again for the supplies we have been using daily. While you are reading the thank you notes that were mailed to you, you will see they were created using supplies you graciously donated to our class. Having those supplies ready and at my disposal made my classroom more organized and ran smoothly. When the workers from Best Buy brought in the materials the kids eyes were lit with excitement. My boys grew instant muscles to help move items to make room and my girls were instantly gifted with organizational skills because they put every object in the perfect spot!! Right now we are focusing our state test which is one month away. Therefore, we are planning daily the right lessons for students and how to improve their weaknesses so they will be successful on the test. Hopefully I will be able to tell you their success stories. Enjoy the letters and again Thank You So Much!!”

Fill "EM" Up Part 3
Funded Mar 31, 2008This will be a great way to start off the new school year! Thank you so much for helping me save some of the hard earned money I have made. Usually i have to go to the store and buy all these supplies before school starts so there won't be any excuses on why a student is not completing their work. I am sure the kids will be very grateful about the donation. Please continue to support this organization and making teaching easier and fun”
