I am a teacher librarian that works in a grade 3-5 elementary school on Long Island. Our School is a reflection of our community, with a multi-cultural population and a full socioeconomic range. We have students living in homeless shelters as well as students who are from very wealthy families. Our goal is to have every child feel equal while they are at school, no matter what their socio-economic status. My students have a variety of special needs, but are very hard workers. I believe that all of my students have great potential and I want to help them achieve their goals and become life long learners.
