Socialization, Relaxation, and Collaboration
Funded Jun 30, 2022Thank you so much for donating to our class. We are in the process of collaborating and developing service projects for members of our community and our students love the new area they can sit in and work. It helps them find a quiet place to plan their amazing projects so they can make our community a better place to live.
It also gives students time to get to know each other and socialize. Most of our students are pretty quiet and it is amazing to see them opening up more in class lately. This new seating area is making a difference in our classroom environment. I appreciate everything you donors did for my students. You are all AMAZING!”

Funded Jul 22, 2020Thank you so much for your generous donation to our class project. Due to COVID, it has been a real struggle to try and do an escape room while maintaining social distancing. We have already shut down once this school year; therefore, we have been advised to make sure we keep social distancing a top priority. I am hoping to do a project this upcoming semester using the escape room lockboxes.
When my students saw the materials, they were excited. They could not wait to do these projects, especially with the Kessler Science Lab escape room activities. I am hoping within the next semester to come up with some innovative ways to do an escape room with the lockboxes while maintaining our six feet apart social distance guidelines. They have been practicing escape rooms virtually during class but I cannot wait to see them do escape rooms with these tools at hand.
Once again, thank you so much for your generous donation. We appreciate it so much and cannot wait to dig deep into escape rooms.”

Funded Jun 29, 2019Thank you so much for the donation to our project. We are now getting into the stage of using the drones for the project and my students are learning how to fly the drone (better than me... LOL). We are hoping to begin a few projects this semester and see how drones work and are applied in the real world. They are excited about being trained to fly it and we are hoping to do a few aerial assignments using various projects and activities associated with our curriculum. It is hard for us at times to receive new items due to our budget; therefore, your contribution made this successful. Plus, we have teachers working on applying for drones as well so the impact is successful. Thank you for all you do in the education of our youth. It is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Joshua Miller”

Funded Oct 29, 2015I want to personally thank you for the generous donation to my classroom for the new tables. You have no idea how excited the students were when they walked into the classroom and saw the new tables sitting there. The looks on their face was priceless. They went to the tables and actually started jiggling them to make sure this was not a dream. They enjoy all the extra room they have to complete classroom assignments without placing other materials on the floor.
The students have a lot of room to take notes, work on their MacBook projects/assignments, and complete their classroom work during the period. We are using the tables to do a lot of classroom collaboration and discussion activities. The students are also using the tables to do their semester exam projects (creating a linear stained glass window project). They can construct, color, and design their projects without shuffling things around the classroom, as well as keep from moving to the floor.
The next steps for a classroom project include designing cylinders and cones to compare and contrast volume capacity and their formulas. We also plan to celebrate Pi Day in March by creating circle displays (poster projects to describe the history of pi) as well as eat circular foods in class, and work on creative displays to hang in the classroom. My algebra 2 students plan to work on a roller coaster design during the 2nd semester and hopefully I can get a model roller coaster funded for the students to create and build.”

Mr. Miller
