My lovable, chatty, and caring students are a very diverse group of learners. They are diverse economically, by ethnicity, and interests. Quite a few speak more than one language at home. That is what makes up this wonderful school I work in; the beautiful array of color, needs, and personalities of its students. My school, however, is also overcrowded and has a large free and reduced lunch student population. My class of 21 are full of constant energy that is surrounded in the calming colors of blue and green. Everyone has the thirst for knowledge however, the range of abilities is quite wide. Despite that, they will go that extra mile to help each other feel good about themselves and succeed. My students enjoy working together and are quite creative. They even put together their own play about a science narrative I read aloud during their recess time. Inquisitive and curious are other words to describe this bubbly bunch. They want to know the how and why of all that they see.
