• Sixth Grade StartUp

  Funded Nov 6, 2024

  Thank you for your donations to my classroom. Now students will be able to continue writing their notes for the remainder of the year without having to worry about buying a new notebook. We will also now have a sufficient amount of pencils to last us sometime as well. When students forget earbuds I will now have a supply to give them so that they can continue with their assignments.

• Sports Equipment!

  Thank you for your kind donations to my classroom. Through your donations my students are able to learn to power of community and the power of giving. My students were thrilled to get this equipment today. They are very excited to finally be able to start our unit in volleyball and dodgeball soon. I am excited to be able to teach my students new sportsmanship and teamwork skills through two new games in physical education.

• Prezi for the Win

  Thank you for your kind donations to this project. I am excited to enhance our classroom presentations. The students are currently learning the basics of Google Slides and we will progress into Prezi after. They are excited to be able to show their creative side whenever possible. My students are excited to learn how to use the transitions in Prezi and compare them to Google Slides so they can determine which one they want to use more in the future.

• Flocabulary Learning

  Students have been able to enjoy using Flocabulary to learn about the world around them. They look forward to Fridays when we watch the weekly rap ups. They like that it is in the form of a song not just a video. They are able to ask questions about topics that peak their interest which is also helpful for me in getting to know them better.

  This is also good for me as a teacher because I am able to teach so much more then just what our curriculum allows for in a quick way. We are able to talk about topics we normally would not in school which can lead to future project for teachers.

• Inclusive Classroom

  Thank you so much for your kind donations. I was able to set up the materials before school started and have then ready for students to use on day 1. Having the wall clock will be a great time saver and hopefully help in teaching students to tell time as well. The floor spots will be a great help with guiding transitions in the room. Our class prize been is newly filled and ready for students to earn. The painters tape was super useful in putting up new classroom materials securely.

• Timed Journals

  Thank you for your kind donations to my classroom. My students were thrilled to see more boxes come in with items needed for the classroom. They were excited to be able to use the new materials and learn from them.

  I plan to use the journals to help encourage my students to be kind to one another and learn about different aspects of inclusion and diversity. We will also be looking at social emotional skills that may need to be refreshed.

• Beginning Basics

  Thank you for your kind donations to my classroom. My students were very excited to see some of our materials replenished that we were running low on. Their faces lit up with excitement. They were very happy to hear that people who don't even know them would be so kind to donate to their classrooms.   Thank you so much for the much needed supplies. My students were thrilled to see the Amazon boxes arrive. They can't wait to use the new highlighters and have access to color ink. Upon arrival they immediately said can I have one. They are working on STEAM and Women's History Month Projects so color will be a great addition. Binders are going to help greatly in helping prep future materials.

• Journal Prizes

  Thank you for your kind donations to my classroom. My students were thrilled to see me restocking our prize bin today. They couldn't wait to earn enough points to get a prize. My students will greatly benefit from having the new journals as we will be able to start using them to supplement material for the students who are low. They were very excited about being able to throw out the old privacy boards to be replaced with new ones.
