As a result of the pandemic, opportunities to include STEM activities have decreased due to a lack of classroom time. I would like to allow these students to experience success in overcoming challenges while in a safe and supportive environment. This project will allow everyone to be involved in teamwork, experience setbacks and in turn, will fix mistakes while finding success. These STEM robots will allow small groups to build obstacle courses and complete challenges all while permitting other small groups to work directly with the teacher. STEM activities are engaging and therefore ensure students are on task, allowing teacher and student small group quality work time. To make this idea come to life, I would like to have STEM in Action Coding Mouse Exploration and Code & Go Robot Mouse Activity Set. These tools will engage students in critical thinking, creativity, and experimentation.
