I teach anatomy and physiology classes to 11th and 12th graders in a city school. I have a mix of student demographics; socially, economically, and learning diversity. They are eager to learn but some lack the skills needed to successfully achieve a class as vigorous and challenging as A and P. I would love to introduce the use of interactive notebooks to these students. Teaching the students how to properly take notes and individually interpret them for studying will be greatly beneficial for their success not only in my class, but other classes and future educational endeavors.
My school is a very large school, graduating over 300 students a school year. Class size is large, but manageable, with approximately 30 students per section. My school is very supportive but lacks funding for a project as large as this. Many of my students would not have the funds to purchase the notebook that is needed for this project. But all would benefit from learning with the notebooks.
