Teaching adolescents to read well, on grade level, and motivation has been an initial part of my teaching Intensive Reading and Language Arts, through my observation of motivating students and keeping their interest in reading worthwhile during school and after school. Finally, I was struck with an idea that would embark on lifelong learning by simply pulling out the red carpet and introducing students to the Hollyread Hall of Fame Ambassadors Club. The Hollyread Hall of Fame Ambassadors Club Incentive program seeks to guide changes that will have an impact on the ability of every student . Ultimately, the goal of this incentive program is to improve each student’s capacity to become a successful reader and comprehend the given text. Through the Hollyread Hall of Fame Incentive Program students are provided with a consistent reading incentive that will give students the opportunity to keep a record of the novels read, obtain Accelerated Reader Points, and offer incentives including an opportunity to sit in the Hollyread Hall of Fame Ambassadors Reading Nook. Students will have an opportunity to read to students in the director chair, obtain a copy of one of the designated books(Tears of a Tiger, Forged By Fire or Money Hungry). In addition, students will receive an award upon meeting or exceeding their Lexile. Finally, by motivating students in my classroom they will strive for excellence in order to have an opportunity to join the Hollyread Hall of Fame Ambassadors Club .
