  • A Walk for Wellness: Visit Our Sensory Garden!

    Funded Mar 14, 2025

A huge thank you for thinking of us and supporting our students in this endeavor. We are so excited to begin work on this sensory garden and to introduce our school and community to this beautiful project. Your generous donation will go very far in helping our students to have a special place to calm down.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. A.

  • Student Game Room Essentials

    Funded Sep 18, 2024

We can't even begin to thank you for your support with this project! Getting our students to have a PS5 for their brand new Game Room has helped alleviate the stress from our staff in having to locate and fund a new system.

Our students have limited access to gaming equipment outside of school so we are pleased to be able to offer them access in our school. In addition this gaming system has provided our students access to an in school decompression room, mental health support and a calming space. This room and equipment is also giving our students an opportunity to socialize and communicate more.

We appreciate your thoughtfulness and support!”

  • Work Skills for the Future

    Funded Apr 10, 2023

An enormous thank you for supporting our classroom by providing us with gift cards to purchase Teachers Pay Teachers pre-made vocational and life skills curriculums. We are so grateful and excited to use these educational activities with our students.

These materials will help us to differentiate our curriculum to meet the needs of each individual and unique student in our classroom. It will also help promote reading and writing skills in children with exceptional learning needs. These materials are fun in nature and the students can independently cut and paste visual icons if they are not able to generate writing.

We are hopeful that these materials and resources will promote independence in the classroom, set up a morning routine, establish a clear cut writing program and provide homework materials for students. Thanks again for your generosity and support in helping our students!”

  • Strength in Body and Mind

    Funded Jun 22, 2022

We have implemented a daily movement program in our classroom. Students are working to develop self regulation and body strength so they can better perform activities of daily living and focus at school. Students look forward to the program and actively engage in all activities.

Our students were THRILLED to see the materials! They now regularly engage with each other by laughing, smiling and playing together during our movement group.

The goal of our project is to follow a visual schedule and practice turn-taking to use all of the equipment that we received in an independent and safe manner. We cannot thank you enough for your generosity and attention to our classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. A.

  • Life Long Readers

    Funded May 6, 2019

We are so incredibly thankful for your generosity in helping us obtain the necessary reading materials to help expand our classroom library.

The students were beyond thrilled to have their own books to follow along. This is helping their literacy development tremendously. They have all improved their reading levels as a result of this donation.

We have begun our unit on Flat Stanley and the children are learning about different parts of the country through literature. You have made a difference in the lives of many children in my school. Thanks again!”

  • Focus and Calm: Organizing the body for learning

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

We are thrilled and so grateful to receive your very generous donation!! Our students were jumping up and down with excitement to receive new materials.

The new materials have helped our students to improve their body strength, fine motor coordination skills, but most importantly help them self regulate by giving them input to their joints and muscles, which helps with body awareness and stress relief.

We use these materials on a daily basis to provide our students with a sensory movement break. We have noticed that the students seem to be calmer for longer periods in the school day by using the above named materials. Thank you for making a difference.”

  • Striving for Independence

    Funded Dec 30, 2016

We can't thank you enough for your kindness and generosity! We feel so fortunate that you have selected us to give your donation. Our students were thrilled to be supplied with new materials for hands on learning and were so excited to open the packages upon their arrival!

Our plan for obtaining the materials was to help our students improve their independence in ADL skills and increase their pre-writing ability. Many of our students are learning how to tie their shoes, which may seem like a very small feat but to our students, it is a huge moment! We are proud to say that because of your donation, our students have shown great improvement in being able to tie their shoes on their own without asking for staff or parental assistance.

The other materials, such as the alphabet learning locks and the lacing word beads are helping our pre-writers and pre-readers to improve hand function and fine motor skills.

We hope these materials will help our students reach their full potential, and for that we thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. A.

  • Hands On: Activities for Students with Special Needs

    Funded Jan 4, 2016

We cannot thank you enough for your generosity in helping us obtain necessary materials for our class! My students have a lot of difficulty completing fine motor tasks and many of them are non-writers. Our goal was to improve hand strength to help students engage in pre-writing tasks. Your help has gone a long way in achieving this goal!

Our students were filled with delight when they saw the new materials our class received!! They were so excited to try them out and take turns. We let them know these materials were donated and they would help them to become stronger writers and help them with fine motors tasks. Our class was eager to try each task even though some of them were difficult for them.

As for our future, we are currently working on a project for Earth Day making recycled self-watering planters and we created Earths using old magazine cut-outs. I would like our students to be able to learn more about the planet they live on and their own personal location in space. I will be looking for more Social Studies materials to help this goal!”

  • Handwriting without Tears....

    Funded Sep 10, 2015

Thank you so much for your time and attention in helping my students obtain the necessary materials to begin a formal writing program in our class.

We have been able to teach our students how to use correct letter formation and proper grammar to make them become more fluent writers. Many of our students are beginner writers and have difficulty with letter formation. Our Occupational Therapist works in the classroom to assist our students in writing neatly and fluently.

These writing workbooks are helping us work in the right direction towards helping improve our students written communication. As teachers we strive to make our students better communicators overall. Written communication allows students a means of expressing themselves in a way that they may not be able to do so orally.

We very much appreciate your donation in helping our students to achieve their goals.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. A.
