My students are from a high poverty area and at a Title I school. Some might argue that this means that we have extra funding but not for classroom supplies.
Being able to move around will make an incredible difference for my students. Being able to move means increased focus. Being able to focus means that they can see and hear instruction causing less frustration periods and therapy can happen.
Children are meant to move but often act out when energy is built up. My students are very sensory based and will act out when being unable to move and if the chair is too hard or cold. This causes distractions for themselves and others. Help them to focus and move towards academics and reaching higher rather than anger and frustration.
