Team Work!
Funded Sep 21, 2023Wanted to THANK YOU for you gracious and kind donation. My students and I are indeed filled with gratitude for the tables that have become an integral part of our day.
My students love the tables because they are clean, smooth, just the right height for them. Of course the tables are a place where my students collaborate all day, work on projects and build and create designs.
The tables are essential during writing, art, and game day. Let me not forget to mention that the tables are easy to clean and I am able to write on them with a dry erase marker and they wipe of clean.
Thank you so very much for your kindness. It is much appreciated.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Asher

Funded Aug 15, 2024Wanted to take a moment to THANK YOU for your kind and generous donation. The new soft carpet is perfect for our room. It fits just right, the color blends in with our furniture well, and it pulls my students to the carpet because of its softness.
My students use it during read aloud time. We just finished reading the book Wonder by R.J. Palacio and my students would huddle up on the carpet for a good listen. We gather on the carpet for Morning Meeting and the carpet allows a perfect circle (rectangle) for my students. Also during the day they use the carpet for partner work.
As you can see the carpet has become a gathering place for learning and sharing.
Thank you so very much for your donation, it means a lot to me and my students. Gratitude from the bottom of my heart.”

Funded May 17, 2024Wanted to say THANK YOU to all my donors for your continued support for my students and I. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation of water bottles for my students.
Your support means a great deal to me and makes a significant difference in the lives of my students. Having access to reusable water bottles not only helps to keep them hydrated and focused throughout the day but also teaches them the importance of sustainability and environmental responsibility.
Once again, thank you for your kindness and support. I am ever grateful for your partnership and with your support I am able to teach my students about many more relevant topics.
Thank you!!”

Adventures With Books!
Funded Jul 13, 2023I would like to begin with a big THANK YOU!
Your kind and generous donation was a thrilling experience in our classroom. I waited for my students to open the box of Brad Meltzer book and their expression was priceless! Their smiles and the desire to smell the books (we do that with our new books...), touch them, and find Mr. Meltzer in the illustrations was indeed precious.
Of course we spent the rest of the morning reading and skipping our phonics, grammar, and comprehension lessons. Time well spend I would say.
I would like to share a snippet of one of my students. This student did not enjoy reading. He found it boring and could not keep his attention. However, these books have changed his perception and he is one of our happy readers.
Once again THANK YOU! Without you this would have not been possible.”

Funded May 4, 2022Thank you so much for your kind and generous donations. The math manipulatives are amazing. My students are using the eight sided dice while playing math games. They were thrilled to use the dice to play the place value game.
The soft cushions were just right for them to sit on and play the math games as well as sit and write their narrative stories.
Like they say the goal is to enjoy learning and my students are lucky enough because of kind donors such as you all that they are able to enjoy learning in comfort.
I am grateful and so are my students for your big heart and believing in us. Without you all this would not be possible.
Thank you!!!”

Funded Nov 2, 2021Taking the time to say - THANK YOU! Your gracious donation has been a treat for my classroom. My students who were good readers are not eager readers! If I ask, we have a few minutes before.... what would you like to do? Their response, "READ!" That sums us their enthusiasm!
So Thank you! for your contribution.
When they saw the boxes in the classroom they wanted me to open them us quickly to see if 'their' choice of books were there. As we opened the boxes up one students said, "Feels like it is my birthday!"
So my deepest gratitude for your generosity. Thank you!!!!”

Comfy Seats!
Funded Sep 25, 2021Wanted to Thank You for your kind donation to make this project possible! The table and chair set has become a priced property in our classroom. I thought I was going to use it for small group instruction, but my students have decided that they would like to use it when working in groups during science experiments, STEM activities, and writer's workshop. They also use it during independent reading time, where they form a circle or simple sit side by side and read their favorite book.
When they first saw the arrangement Monday morning, they looked at it sheepishly and wondered what I had in mind. Their curious eyes were asked, "Is this for us?" I loved the look on their face when I said, "Yes!"
Thank you once again for your kindness and generosity that brought and continues to bring smiles to my students! Thank you!!!”

Funded May 27, 2021Parents and educators both want students to read. The more we say "sit and read" the more students don't want to. I have always thought about that and wondered why? What is about reading that demotivates students.
To begin with, I asked my students first if they like to read, I got a 50/50 response. Of those who said I do not like to read, I asked why? Some of the answers were - boring, long, too many words, etc. I then asked what books they might consider reading. And the answer was - comic!
Well, I was going to give my customer what they want - comic books! This is when I found Jarrett Lerner, an author that not only captivates his readers but secretly makes them love reading by having them create books!
My students love these books and are thrilled to be interested readers and authors! Thank you for your gracious donation of these books! Wouldn't have been possible without you!”

Funded Sep 2, 2020Wanted to Thank You for your kind and gracious donations that made it possible for my students to enjoy the colorful and rich books that now adorn our bookshelf.
I used the selected books to teach narrative writing and opinion writing. What better way to learn than from the authors themselves. I also used the books to talk about various social emotional situations and feelings. We read We Are All Welcome and we learned about being different yet the same.
The books are easily accessible by my students and they pick a book up and are able to read during their free time.
Thank you once again for your kind generosity and donors like you make it possible for my students to have the best of the learning experience they can have.
THANK YOU!”

Funded Feb 13, 2020With much gratitude in my heart I would like to THANK YOU for your generous donation. My students and I are loving our new tables! As you can see my students now have a clean table to work on. They use the tables while writing, doing science, math, and build STEAM projects!
The custodian had placed the tables in our room in the corner. I did not get a chance to arrange them. When the kids walked in in the morning! They were so excited that they wanted to help get the old tables out and put the new ones in. I was not sure why I said, sure! But it worked out. We all worked together and placed the tables that would work for all of us.
In a way it turned out for the best: we learned math, spatial awareness, and social skills (listening to ideas).
Thank you once again! Donors like you keep me going!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Asher
