STEM at its Cleanest Air with a Purifier
Funded Dec 7, 2024I am filled with inspiration and completely grateful in receiving your generous donation. Our students will be able to move forward in exploring a new media to interact with geometry. I look forward to sharing with you how students will problem solve as they design and create projects and analyzing geometric relationships.
From simple shapes to complex designs your donation will allow students to engage in our geometry class, using the air purifier to clean the air we breath while working with the laser engraver.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Ortiz
Warm up with Origami!
Funded Aug 5, 2024We are grateful to receive your donation. Our students at Jordan High School where excited to use origami in our classroom. Students recognized the paper you donated and began to mention how some Origami was new for them. We have found so much joy with origami in math and science while creating boats, foxes, dogs, fish, frogs and birds. Students have built social and soft skills along with recognizing angles and identifying degrees within folding paper.
Our students asked for more paper to fold and tried to create new items. One student asked if he could make a collection of easy to make origami.
We plan on pushing the envelope and identifying new ways that origami can connect with geometry and how students can see the angles and lines reflect real life, nature and experiences.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Ortiz
