  • Technology Designed To Be As Limitless As A Child’s Imagination

    We would like to say "Thank You" to Bill Gates, Brian Cole, Ahmad Walker, Sharnice Walker, Janet Warfield and many Anonymous donors who supported our project. Technology Designed To Be As Limitless As A Child's Imagination project received a MacBook Air. We are super happy!

    This MacBook Air will again, help students navigate the digital world quickly and efficiently. Furthermore, we have had small group instructions with students rotating as leaders with the MacBook Air, to complete math interventions. We are setting up some projects through the many Apple Applications to complete various academic task and assignments as it relates to mathematics.

    We are so excited to have a device that we as a middle school can control and utilize daily. Students are super excited with show casing their assignments and leading instructions within the classroom environment. Again, we say "Thank You" for this ultimate gift of the MacBook Air.”

My first grade autism class project and materials for "I Can Learn But Differently" are geared towards multiple means of learning. My first grade students learn quite differently than general education children. The Touch & Read CVC Words set will help to building literacy skills while learning to read; the mathematic materials Magnetic Math Manipulatives will aid with number identification and counting. The laminating paper will help us to preserve materials such as visual schedules, pocket picture PECS. Incorporation of a variety of learning strategies, small groups, one-to-one support, alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are!

About my class
