Speak to All Students
Funded Feb 12, 2020I just want to take a moment to say Thank You! Because of generous people like you, I am gradually learning a new language. I practice Spanish at least once a day. Although I am not speaking fluent Spanish yet, I believe I will be soon.
I am not fluently speaking Spanish yet, but I can use some words and phrases accurately. My Spanish speaking students get very excited when I say something in their native language. They also tend to start trying to teach me new words:). I think it gives them more confidence knowing they are able to teach their teacher something new.
I am going to continue practicing and learning Spanish daily, and will hopefully be able to speak to all of my students soon. We just had a French speaking student enroll, so that may be my next journey. Luckily, I already know a little French.
Thanks again for your generous donation! You have helped change the lives of several students and one lucky teacher. Love and God Bless you all!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Schutt
21st Century Students Deserve 21st Century Technology
Funded Aug 8, 2015I can't express how thankful I am for your generosity. Your generosity has given my class the opportunity to learn in a new and exciting way. The new technology in our classroom has allowed the students to be more engaged in learning, and has given them the ability to learn at their own pace. Students that need more practice on a specific skill are able to get it without their classmates knowing. Students are also able to move on to more challenging skills when they are ready, and do not have to wait for the entire class to be ready to move on. The new devices have also helped tremendously with behavior. The activities and lessons on the devices are able to keep the the students attention and their focus on the skill they need to be learning in a much more engaging way. Thanks to all of you for helping my students be better prepared for the future, more engaged in learning, and excited about learning. You are a true blessing to me and my students. Thank you!!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Schutt
