  • Math Cafe

    Funded Oct 20, 2023

I cannot thank you enough for your most generous donation to my classroom. The classroom is the talk of the entire school and students are even a bit disappointed when they do not get to be in our additional math support class. The environment is so warm and welcoming for all students.

We placed the couch on our rug area when it first came in and students were beyond excited. We had to go over the rules of how many students can easily fit on the couch at a time. We have used the couch as a reward for students who try their best every day. Many students, close to all students, have had an opportunity to sit on the couch. It has been a fun area to practice math facts or discuss some challenging math problems. Thank you so much for making this a reality.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Morris

  • Sharp Students

    Funded Jun 30, 2015

We cannot thank you enough for your generous donation. Our students had previously thrived in a school that was over one hundred years old. This year, they got a brand new school and brand new state of the art pencils sharpeners to go in it. To quote a few of our students; "All students are happy because they will always carry around a sharpened pencil, "The sharpeners let everyone be prepared for the next period, We are all ready for class and the teachers are happy.

In years previous, we always had the old fashioned crank pencil sharpeners or some teachers went out and bought their own electric sharpeners. We found too many students were just interested in getting up to sharpen a pencil during a lesson and that the electric sharpeners that teachers could afford, would often break from over use. This year our new expensive sharpeners have allowed students to sharpen their pencil quickly and get right back to work. Teachers are thrilled with the low noise level, the speed with which the new sharpeners sharpen and their not having to go out and use their own money to buy one.

We are also very grateful for the globes we received. Teachers are using them in Social Studies Centers. Students are able to work in small groups to look at and locate places around the world. They are easily accessible to students.

We truly are very grateful for all your time with us last year and your very gracious donation to our kids. We use the resources you provided us with every day. Our students and teachers really understand what it is like to work in very difficult conditions and we are truly grateful to your company and the employees who took time out of their busy schedules to make time for our kids.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Morris

Our students work hard in math daily. We went from a level 3 school which is in the bottom 20% in the state to a level 1 school showing greatest improvement and growth in the state. Our students have a longer school day and year than the rest of our district. 33% of our students are English language learners as well. Our school is really our students' second home.
