Gear Up for Good: Enhancing Physical Education
Funded Apr 22, 2024Your generous contribution has had a profound impact on our Physical Education department, and we are immensely grateful for your support. With the new resources you provided, we've been able to create engaging and innovative classroom projects that have enriched our students' learning experiences.
One specific project that stands out is our teamwork-focused challenge during field day using the newly acquired water pumps. Students worked collaboratively to pump water swiftly and efficiently into various containers, promoting teamwork, coordination, and physical activity. This activity not only engaged our students but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and cooperation among them.
When our students first saw the new materials, including the water pumps, discs, and balls, their excitement was evident. Their reactions reflected their appreciation for having access to modern and well-maintained resources that enhance their physical education experiences.
As our next steps, we plan to continue integrating these new resources into our lessons and projects. For example, we'll incorporate the discs and balls into creative games and challenges that promote teamwork, coordination, and physical fitness. Additionally, we'll emphasize the importance of proper equipment maintenance and care, instilling a sense of responsibility and ownership among our students.
Once again, thank you for your generous contribution and for supporting our mission to provide quality physical education experiences for our students.”

Mr. Mercier

Funded Nov 27, 2023I'm excited to update you on the impactful use of your generous donation. The students were overjoyed with the new soccer balls, injecting fresh enthusiasm into our playground. The scooter wheels have allowed me to repair and replace broken scooters and let all of my students participate physical activities.
The hooks for hula hoops have significantly improved our storage organization, making lessons more efficient. Students can now easily access and store their hula hoops, streamlining the overall experience.
As we gear up for exciting volleyball lessons, the replacement bladders for the Kin ball couldn't have come at a better time. The anticipation among students is noticeable, and your contribution ensures that our equipment is in top-notch condition for the upcoming sessions.
Your support is truly transformative, providing our students with new and engaging opportunities. We're deeply grateful for your contribution, and we look forward to sharing more positive outcomes in the future.”

Funded Sep 2, 2023The arrival of new resources has injected a wave of excitement into our physical education classes. With the versatile floor tape, we've created vibrant 4 square courts, enhancing the structure and engagement of our activities. The addition of basketballs, footballs, and tetherballs has reinvigorated our outdoor sessions, fostering teamwork and active participation. Witnessing the immediate enthusiasm of my students upon encountering these materials was truly rewarding, as it reflects a transformative impact on their enjoyment of physical education.
Looking ahead, we plan to seamlessly integrate these resources into an ongoing lesson focused on teamwork and coordination. The floor tape will continue to play a pivotal role in defining boundaries and facilitating team-based activities, ensuring a dynamic and engaging atmosphere. The addition of tetherballs to our playground equipment further expands the possibilities for interactive play, promoting coordination and social interaction. The ongoing support from our generous donors has not only transformed the physical education experience but has also fostered a positive shift in the overall attitude and collaboration among my students.”

Funded Dec 3, 2022I cannot thank you enough for all for your generosity. The items that you funded for my classroom have made an impact on all of my students. It gave me the opportunity to be a little more creative in my approach to lesson planning for teaching different topics in my Physical Education class.
The donations allowed me to develop lessons centered around cardiovascular fitness, and how the heart rate changes during moderate and vigorous exercise. It also allowed me to create a unit centered around nutrition and making healthy choices when selecting our food.
I loved how curious they were during all of my lessons. The questions they asked in class were amazing. As a teacher it's so great to see that spark of curiosity and creativity in all of their eyes!
My plan for future endeavors is to continue to grow as a teacher and to continue to create new lessons that will inspire and motivate all of my students.”

Funded Mar 26, 2022My students and I are so incredibly grateful for your generosity. Field day was a HUGE success! Thanks to your donations, we were able to help fund the field paint, and turtles. My students look forward to field day every year and because of you they had an exceptional experience this year. I am so happy to give my students a day that they can just laugh and be kids. On field day, my students are able to build strong relationships with their peers and work on their teamwork skills. Field day gives them the opportunity to take all of the skills that they gained throughout the school year and put it all together in an exciting way.
The left over paint has been valued even this year, as I have had the ability to paint the lines for our soccer field. The students at Doull are so excited to play soccer at recess just like they would for a real life game.
Thank you again for supporting my classroom and my little future movement champions!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Mercier
