  • STEM - Going for Glow

    Funded Jun 29, 2024

My students were excited to receive the resources you donated to our classroom. The STEM materials I am asking for are important because they can help my students develop 21st-century skills, such as productivity, social skills, communication, flexibility, and initiative. The STEM activities we made help my students discover real-world applications, spark their creativity, and promote critical thinking, curiosity, persistence, decision-making, leadership, and entrepreneurship. They loved creating the glow-in-the-dark bottles as well as glow-in-the-dark slime. They have expressed how grateful they are that someone would be kind enough to donate the materials needed to our class. Being a 10-year teacher with very few resources, I am thankful to have supplies to enhance the teaching and learning experience in my classroom. There is an overall excitement in our class this year! It is in part due to our interactive hands-on activities provided with the materials you helped purchase. We are well on our way to becoming better learners and citizens! I cannot thank my donors enough for being willing to give my students this learning opportunity that will stay with them their entire lives!”

    With gratitude,

  • Clean and Cozy Equals Comfy

    Funded Dec 31, 2023

Thank you for helping me give my students clothes so they can feel clean, warm, and comfortable at school. The items were given to them during Christmas, so they were excited to get gifts they could take home and keep. With your amazing support, my students greatly benefitted from winter clothing during the cold months! Some of my students come in the winter without clean or warm shirts, sweaters, or long sleeves. With your donations, they were able to get these essential clothing items whenever it was needed. Once again I would like to say thank you for your donation to our classroom.”

The snacks you helped me get will help them continue to concentrate on their work, which will make a difference in their academics.”

  • Supporting Health & Wellness

    Funded Sep 5, 2023

Thank you all for your donations. With your help, I was able to provide my students with snacks, lotions, sanitizers, etc. Having a snack available for all my students helped them all stay focused and engaged during instruction. The disposable cups were used when serving the cereal throughout the day when the kids were hungry. During the winter season, my students come to school with chapped lips and dry hands due to the cold. The lip balms, lotions, and sanitizers help keep them healthy. My students used the materials donated when they were out in recess and throughout the day when needed.”

  • Bookland Adventures

    Funded Sep 6, 2023

Thank you for helping give my students the books they need to be successful readers. I am so thrilled to know that such wonderful people donated to help my students be better readers, allowing them to learn to love reading. The informational books that were purchased with your denotations covered a wide variety of topics. Reading these books is helping introduce my students to new vocabulary, concepts, and topics. These books are currently being used for an informational class writing project. Students are reading through some of the books and will pick one of the books to write an informational essay on.

I cannot thank you enough for fulfilling this classroom project for us. Our classroom library was in desperate need of some newer leveled informational books. These informational books range from preschool through 4th grade, to fit the needs of all the levels of readers in my room. The new books have given students a fresh look at reading again as students are excited to get their hands on the new texts in our class library. Thank you for allowing my students to have new and interesting books at their reading level available at their fingertips.”

  • Back to School Supplies

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

A huge thank you for your love and support for my students. This project provided snacks to help stock the classroom food cabinet. It takes time for students to get back into the routine of eating three times a day instead of any time they want. Like they do when they are on summer break. These snacks help several of my students get through the day and I cannot thank you enough for that. The snacks help my students concentrate on their work during class time, instead of being distracted due to hunger. Hunger can create a negative impact on my student's school performance, which is something I wish to avoid. Having a snack available for all my students is helping them stay focused and engaged during instruction.

The donations helped me purchase writing material, such as journals, pencils, and dry erasers as well as snacks. The journal is used daily as an entry task for Emotional Journal Writing assignments. The social-emotional journaling is a great way to work on social-emotional skills like empathy, friendships, goals, conflict resolution, and decision-making. My students are benefitting from using the writing materials by enhancing reflection, facilitating critical thought, expressing feelings, and writing focused arguments.

Once again, thank you for all your donations. They have truly had a positive impact on my class.”

  • Snack Attack for My Pack

    Funded May 9, 2023

I would like to thank you for your donation to our classroom. We appreciate you and your help to get the classroom's mid-day snacks. My students have been snacking in the afternoons. About two hours after their lunch. These snacks help my students concentrate on their work instead of thinking about food and being hungry. Hunger can create a negative impact on my students' school performance, which is why I am truly grateful for for your heartfelt donations. The various snacks purchased through the donations have had a positive impact on my students. Donations purchased were crackers, fruit snacks, goldfish, and cookies. My students need snacks to remain focused and energized in class. Healthy snacks like these are ensuring that my students succeed in the academics.”
