New Books for New Friends
Funded Jan 21, 2024I am so happy that this project was funded! I really appreciate your kind words and your support of my students, especially my newest little boys. I know they will appreciate these books. Reading with their grownups at home provides benefits for students by improving their reading abilities and giving them time with a parent to relax and enjoy books. Thank you for your help in making reading at home possible for all my students.”

Funded Jan 23, 2023Thank you so much for helping my school get new books for our school library! We have reorganized our library and have been adding collections of books for our themed displays. Students love looking at the displays and checking out the new books!
I believe that a well-organized, visually appealing library makes students excited about visiting the library and it encourages them to branch out and try new books or subjects by authors they might not have otherwise read. My 2nd grade students are especially excited about the Plants Vs. Zombies books!
Thanks again for your support! We really appreciate it!!”

Funded Dec 27, 2022Thank you for helping us get these books for our school library! We added them last year and the students began checking them out immediately. Then this year, the first time a student got to choose the weekly library read aloud he chose a book by Jacqueline Woodson.
Our school is quite diverse and so we have been trying to add books with diverse characters to our library. Students are particularly drawn to Jacqueline Woodson's books because the illustrations are so beautiful and vibrant.
Thanks to your support, over 500 students learned about this author last year because she was featured as one of our authors of the month. Students will continue to benefit from your donation for years to come!”

Dan Gutman - A Hilarious Author
Funded Mar 31, 2023Thank you for helping us get these new books for our school library! Students love Dan Gutman books and these books have been a hit since we put them on the shelves.
We've been working to improve our library by reorganizing it and displaying collections of books such as author's studies or themes (like winter). Students enjoy learning facts about authors and choosing books from the collections. I feel like some students are reading books that they might not have chosen because of the way they're displayed.
Dan Gutman has an amazing assortment of books for students at every level - picture books for our youngest students, easy readers for students who are just learning to read, chapter books for older readers, and graphic novels for reluctant readers. Thanks to your support, 500 students are enjoying his books this year and more students will continue to enjoy them for years to come! Thanks again! We appreciate your help.”

Funded Dec 22, 2022Thank you so much for helping us get these books for our library! We have been reorganizing and revamping our library and readership is up. Each month we are also displaying collections of books by great authors. Our author displays are designed to introduce students to new authors and give them interesting facts about them.
The goal of the new displays is to encourage students to read something they might not have otherwise read. Students have enjoyed learning about Matt de la Peña and many of them have chosen his books for their weekly library books.
Thanks again for your support. We really appreciate it!”
