  • Games for Their Brains

    Funded Feb 9, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donations. The games that were purchased for the students enabled them to play games during their lunch period and preparation periods. The games were a catalyst into socialization and teaching for the class. They were talking to other students that they normally would not and had the ability to work outside of an academic forum. Your donations were truly a blessing for this class and myself, they love playing Connect 4, Boggle, and Checkers. As their teacher I love to sit back and just watch them be children.

    A million thank yous

    Jennifer Grubin (Happy Teacher)”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Grubin

  • Pencils, Markers, and White Boards Oh My!

    Funded Dec 4, 2019

Thank you so much for helping to fund this project. I hope that this gives many students the mathematical manipulatives they need in order to comprehend and explore the lessons they are being taught. Make sure to be on the look out for pictures of my students with their new math manipulatives.”

  • Basic School Supplies Desperately Needed

    Funded Dec 26, 2018

The materials provided in this donors choose project has had a major impact on our classroom. We have the necessary materials, that we so desperately need, at our finger tips. We have completed research projects using these materials and the end results were better than they ever have been.

Your generosity is so very appreciated. We were hoping that our project would get funded and when the students heard that is was fully funded, they were ecstatic. Our students were overjoyed when the boxes came in the mail. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

  • Paper, Erasers, and Highlighters Oh My

    Funded Dec 31, 2018

Your generous donations have made such a drastic impact upon my students. The materials that you provided, enabled my students to prepare for the upcoming ELA exam, which determines whether they will be promoted to the next grade. They used the highlighters, colored pencils and post-it notes to locate pertinent information from the text. When they learned these techniques the supplies became an integral part of their learning. The materials made the learning fun and made them more enthusiastic to learn.

    Thank You So Much,

    Jennifer Grubin”

  • Magazines Galore

    Funded Jun 12, 2018

Your incredibly generous gift has made such an impact on our students. The magazines that were donated have sparked a desire to read in so many of our students. They are so much more inclined to read now that they have these high interest, on level magazines to read. They are learning about so many different topics, and investigating topics on their own. A student in our class who usually doesn't like to read, was reading a magazine article about how a tiger cares for their young, and decided to investigate tigers at home. The following week this student brought in a three page report on tigers with pictures and such excitement for his research. Thank you so much for this invaluable gift.”

  • Old Dirty, Ineffective White Boards Need A Retirement Home.

    Funded Feb 10, 2018

We are so grateful for the white boards. They have enabled us to help our students in small group situations. These small groups give us a very clear insight as to what a student is struggling with, and then a clear picture on how to help clear up the misconception. The students love working with these white boards, they love having a dry erase marker and a tissue to clear their white board. They are excited and motivated to work using these white boards, whether we are learning about mathematics or reading and writing. Thank You so much.”

  • Markers and Colored Pencils Please

    Funded Dec 29, 2017

Thank you so much for your generous gift. Our students use the colored pencils and markers on a daily basis for a variety of activities. I want to explain to you our students' faces when the supplies arrived. Their eyes lit up like it was Christmas morning. I thank you for donating to our project because just seeing their excited faces was very gratifying. We love to see how their work has come to life with color. They are more enthusiastic to write because they know they have the materials they need to create art that accompanies their work.

    Thank you so much.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Grubin

  • Read All About It

    Funded Sep 20, 2017

Thank you so much for your generous gifts. The magazines that were given to us allow our students to have access to different, engaging reading material and we are able to set up differentiated groups with these materials. We have been using these magazines on a daily basis and we can see drastic differences in their reading abilities. The magazines make our students aware of current events. Your generous gifts have enabled Mr. Weiner and I to complete the fourth grade memory books for our students. We hope that these memory books become treasured keepsakes for the students. We are eternally grateful for your generosity and kindness. Our students were so excited when the boxes of supplies arrived, they can't wait to begin our memory books.
