My students are an excellent group of children. They are all able to learn when they are cultivated in enhancing their critical thinking skills. As a teacher, I become familiar with my students’ interests so that I can include them in the lesson. I observe how my students learn best. Often, I develop differentiated lesson to meet the needs of all my students. My students connect with lessons visually, auditory, and/or tactile/kinesthetic. My greatest accomplishment is when a struggling student has finally mastered a task and is smiling from ear to ear. Differentiated instruction and real-life connections are crucial for all my students’ self-discovery. Although there are major issues and trends with public education today, my school’s leadership provides the necessary structure for effective planning and evaluating. Teachers are offered on-going professional developments, clear and concise routines are implemented, and time is allocated for adequate planning.
