  • The Endless Possibilities Of A Document Camera

    Funded Jan 26, 2018

Let me start of by once again thanking you for your kind donation. You truly can't even begin to imagine how much this document camera has made a difference in our classroom. We are currently using it to project my work so students sitting in the back can see me work out the math problems step by step. It allows me to present more visuals for students when it comes to our science units. Students have proudly offer to show how they have solved problems by doing a demo for their peers. This document camera has made a world of difference for my students as well as for me. I am extremely grateful for your donations.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. M.

  • Oh For The Love Of Reading - Where Will Our Reading Take Us?

    Funded Nov 20, 2015

I just wanted to once again thank you for your generous donations. These books have been an awesome addition to our much needed classroom library. We have been using these books non stop since arriving. We started by using the fairytale books with our Fairytale reading and writing unit. The wide variety of fairytales by cultures allowed students to get to know other fairytales beyond the basic ones they have grown up with.

Our current reading and writing unit is Nonfiction, so the different level nonfiction books you donated has allowed all my students access to learning about topics. They can become experts on topics that they can follow up by writing about them. It is wonderful to see them fully emerged in books and finally losing themselves deep with in the pages, but none of that could have been made possible without your help, so thank you.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. M.

My students are curious individuals that love to learn. Every time I present a new topic they are eager to learn more about it. However, aside from teaching academic content I want to ensure that my students are learning life skills such as how to collaborate with others, how to have appropriate conversations, and be familiar and comfortable using technology. Unfortunately, not all my students have the opportunity to practice these skills at home. I want to make sure that they have the tools in our classroom that will allow their learning to flourish.
