ALL students want to learn and all students NEED to learn, but not all students have the materials necessary to learn. The materials I have listed are essential in helping my students execute their quarterly STEM projects, and are basic supplies needed daily for my sixth grade students. Students will use high lighters for active listening/reading in class as well as annotation of primary sources. Students need colored pencils, markers, drawing paper to create maps, charts, graphic organizers, and outlines for our units on ancient civilization and human migration around the world. Post-It notes and Post-it poster size paper will be used for organization of thoughts and project presentations. The 3M Whiteboard/flip chart, 3M erasers, and expo cleaner provide an eco-friendly way for students display their knowledge and work of content specific information. Lastly, our school uses a binder system to teach organization, therefore it is essential for my students to have the use of an electric hole puncher, electric pencil sharpener, and an electric stapler to organizer their work. Thanks for helping our class. These students are more than willing to help each other, so it is awesome when they see that OTHERS who don't even KNOW them want to help them too.
