I teach in a high poverty school where reading is the key to success. My fourth graders love to learn using a variety of tools. They love to use the technology tools we have in our classroom. Many do not have computers at home so they use every opportunity possible to use them in the classroom.
Our school has been fortunate enough to purchase licenses for the Imagine Learning computer-based literacy program. Imagine Learning is an engaging language and literacy software program that accelerates English learning. Focused on oral language, academic vocabulary, instruction in the five essential components of reading, and strategic first-language support. It’s research-based, instructionally differentiated, and incredibly fun to use. It is a great academic tool for my students to use at school.
