We are a Title 1 school which serves a diverse population of 800 students in 4K through fifth grade. I teach two blocks of language arts to fourth graders. My students are readers and writers. They love to be social, and they enjoy learning. My students are at the beginning stages of transitioning into middle school students. They have more than one teacher for core subjects. They change classes. They are learning that they are accountable for a more rigorous workload and for being more individually responsible for being ready to learn in each class.
